Terrific photo. I had no idea Carrie Fisher was so petite.

According to Wikipedia 1.55 metres tall.
Which translates to (rounded down) 5′ 1 3/128″ tall.

So sorry, Claude, but I laughed at this. I know, you are wondering what happened. What I want to know is ~ why is Cleo is hammering on the wall. She is probaby scaring the critters in there.
Poor Vincent. He just doesn’t understand what that creature is doing. But Vincent isn’t helping the floor cleaning at all.

We’re getting the smoke from her wildfires! They say there’s no relief until the snow flies. Arghhhh!

I just saw the air quality map on the news. Where I am, the smoke is traveling north of us and south of us. You have our smoke worse than we do. What’s bad is that every year it is going to get worse ~ until everything is burned up.

There was only one day here that it was bad. We had beautiful blue skies yesterday. We have a breeze that blows here about every day. Lots of fires, though. At the end of the growing season, they used to burn the hay fields here ~ of which there are many. That was really bad. They can’t do that any more. One of the big fires in Washington is all forest land, so they are pretty much letting it burn. They are running out of resources. We have one fire here in Idaho that started in someone’s wood pile ~ they are investigating. A lot of them started from lightening. I haven’t heard of anyone starting any fires, which they like to do in times like this.

I’m headed to Stanley on the 27th, as the jumping off point for a Middle Fork of the Salmon raft trip. Not looking forward to drifting through the haze.

Right now there is just light smoke in that area ~ mostly from Oregon. Hopefully it will be gone by the time you get there. Your rafting trips sound like a lot of fun. I have only been once, but I really enjoyed it.

So far in Western Washington we have been lucky, with a nice offshore wind keeping us cool and clear. Of course it will not last all summer, but enjoying it while we can.

I love that! And so true. I love those videos of cats pushing things off of shelves and counters just for the sake of watching it fall. Not sure what the attraction is, but they do like it.

If I had a hammer,
I’d hammer in the morning.
………………………….

Confound it, Cleo!
Now you got Claude!

Honestly Claude, weren’t you the least bit curious to know why your basset hound was pounding on the wall with a ball peen hammer?

If that is what she does with a hammer, how can she be trusted with a bazooka?

I liked all the extras, but especially the baby Springstein. Especially liked when his little one woke him up with a baseball bat.

As I’ve posted before, I’ve read three of Carrie Fisher’s books.

Wishful Drinking — 2008
Shockaholic — 2011
The Princess Diarist — 2016

The three of them are straight up well written accounts of her struggles throughout her life with addictions and mental illness.
None are written in “poor-me,” and indeed contain a fair amount humour.
The Princess Diarist is a good bit darker than the first two (but again with some humour and not “poor-me”) and as I said in my first post about it, my opinions of Harrison Ford and George Lucas changed for the worse.
I recommend all three for your reading pleasure.

As for Cleo…

…OOPS!!

And not bad at all, I might add.
William Shatner, on the other hand…

The following cite….

Moses bristles. This is a sensitive area. “It was a matter of perception,” he says firmly. “I
know it was difficult to relate to me back then. I was black, studying physics and
engineering. I was from a small school nobody ever heard of. A guy who took up this race
and four months later won the gold medal. And I had predicted it. All this was a fantasy.
Then the sunglasses. And they wanted to make me more of a fantasy. But did anybody stop
to ask if the sunglasses were prescription? My eyes have been sensitive to light since the
fifth grade. Without glasses I can’t see the next hurdle. The rawhide cord necklace was just
a gift from my college roommate. ‘Chains of bondage,’ right? We were way ahead of Mr. T,”
Moses says, chuckling. “Look, I was just a college boy with Photograys. What was so
disturbing about that?”

Good morning, Cleophanatics!

Good thing that was a ball peen. A claw would probably left more than a lump.
