It was kind of late when I posted about her work yesterday, below her “painting” of a blonde woman on a chestnut horse…
Forgive me, please, if you saw it… but I’d like to repost the information here.
….
From yesterday:
“This painting, the one above, with the red striped shirt, and the completely dissimilar one yesterday with the donkeys in the doorway, are all credited to Tracy Porter.
So I went to her website, which is called The Porter Collection.
It turns out that she and her husband are a team selling prints and merchandise featuring her work.
In response to a customer’s question about buying an original painting, they replied that all her works are digital… there are no paintings.
She allegedly combines computer drawing, photography, and AI to create them.
Since they “fixed” GoComics it’s no better. Working Daze has run the same comic for 4 days. The creators haven’t been able to update; they had some choice words in the comment section
I am TICKED-OFF!!!
… 5 days ago I was ticked-on and now I have Lyme disease. I caught it early so there should be no long term effects, but right now I’m running a fever.
With as much as they know about it now, hopefully that might be the limit of your issues because from what I understand, the long term effects are because it usually isn’t discovered until several months later when the bacteria has done some damage.
My favorite entomologist and I got a name for running around campus dragging sheets behind us searching for ticks to test for Lyme disease. We never found any…
Thanks for the well-wishes everyone. The rash can appear from 3 to 30 days after the tick attaches; I was lucky and it was only about 3 days. I went to the clinic the very next morning. I don’t know how long the tick was attached, but my wife removed it before it had started bloating.
I think the worst long-term effect I’m likely to have is fear of going for walks in the woods (which would be quite a loss).
How much does that suck?! Very sorry to hear of it.
The younger son of friends has a very bad case of it. He probably got it on a boy scout camping trip. But it was not caught quickly or properly diagnosed. It has trashed this young man’s life. He had to drop out of college and move back home with his parents. It took a heavy toll on his mental health. He is in such severe and constant pain that he is routinely heard moaning. He describes it as feeling like knives are being stuck into every joint in his body. Pain meds have done nothing for him, so he has taken to drinking straight gin all day long just to get any relief. I suggested he try marijuana, as a lot of retired pro athletes say that is the only way they can handle their constant pain, but he is severely allergic to it in any form. Of course, the gin is doing plenty of damage too.
So take this seriously and attack it with everything medical science can offer. Best of luck.
WOW, thanks. I had seen the list of long term effects but it’s not clear the frequency, duration, or severity of them. Your story really puts it into focus. I started a 14 day course of antibiotics.
Two days of anti-biotics has knocked out the flu-like symptoms and I feel much better today. I still have 12 more days of medicine. After Liverlip’s comment I guarantee you, I will continue the medicine for the full 14 day course.

That’s a pretty neat trick!

I like it. It’s probably AI.
Another one by Tracy Porter.

2 = + + +
3 = × –
4 = √ + √ + √
5 = ÷ + or + ÷ (the order of prececence works either way)
6 = × –
7 = – ÷
8 = ∛ + ∛ + ∛
9 = √ × √ – √
Should 6 have been + instead of x?

Looks like an announcement, or a “Coming Soon to a theatre near you!” sort of thing.
The .gif isn’t .giffing.
I’m sure Nighthawks will fix it.
Clearly, he needs the .gif that keeps on .giffing.

Come here, we’ve got plenty. I’ve got the vicious bugger that attacked me stuck to some tape… you can have it 🙂
So sorry!
But yes, it’s not like it was when they couldn’t do anything.
Get better fast!
