Oops… I got distracted, forgetting it’s my job every year to bring the
Revolutionary War tunes for the marching band.
Here’s the link that makes it start with the piece I picked out… some others have so many instruments they sound like a big parade…. Which is fine, but not if you want to picture it as our little trio.
(Best to right click and open in a new window, so you can have the music and the band. Otherwise you’ll lose this page.)
BTW, that link works for me right now…. But I think it was last year that WordPress kept messing it up (what a surprise!), and it wouldn’t work after a little time passed.
Yup… WordPress changes the first link by adding the HTML tags, which we don’t need in these comments. It won’t work that way.
If I use either button to edit my comment (the one that says “click to edit” or the one you get by long-pressing the settings button underneath the comment field), the tags won’t be in it.
If I save, it’s okay again…. Till a while later when it puts the tags back.
The second link, though almost identical, isn’t affected.
It’s supposedly a real picture of a sea slug known as a Spanish Dancer.
But they’re about a foot across, occasionally more, up to as large as three feet wide.
So is this manipulated?
Those are not 6″ rocks on the shore in the top picture… I don’t believe the camera angle and normal perspective would make the creature look 75 feet across.
I once took a picture of a sailboat going between two large boulders in a high sea.
The boat was real, but the “boulders” were about 18″ tall and the high sea was the coastal tide splashing against the rocks.
Perspective is everything.
The repeat broadcast this week (the show is in seasonal hiatus right now) of Terry O’Reilly’s UNDER THE INFLUENCE candy bar advertising show (trust me, it’s interesting / it even influenced the naming of a Hollywood movie).
If you’re not a US dweller, or for any other reason not celebrating our Independence Day…. you can still have a happy 4th of July, unless your calendar is very different from mine.
If there’s no 4th of July on it…. Have a happy whatever day …. or other unit of time measurement… you’re experiencing when you see this.
And if you don’t measure time on your planet…. well…. just be happy, ok?

If it happens again, or if you’d simply rather…
you can just go to….

and select the Earl of Dorchester’s March, or choose your own.
Either way…. If you let it keep going
it runs through everything anyway.

So Cleo only likes BOOMs that she creates?
Now ya got it!

Hmm, it seems to be two legs short.
I see a blurry leg segment in the back, but it needs to somehow attach to the mid-section of the ant.
I’d help you look…. but… um…. I think I hear my mother calling me….
no, that was me.
SUUUUUSAAAAAN!

I don’t know if you do fit… But I know you’re a doo-fuss.
“U can’t touch this..”
,,.
anybody buying this?
Nope
It’s a wildlife sanctuary, and a keeper and long term resident IIRC.
yes–but the words say it is a ‘wild’ cheetah—surely they wouldn’t tell fib.
surely not
Well, “wild” as in not domesticated. All cheetahs are wild. Someone tame? Acclimated to people? Yes. Wild? Mostly.
honk if you can read what’s in the box
Try Nytol…
Top line: I CANT
Bottom line: SLEEP
The lack of punctuation and all capital letters is accurate.
Maske it stop moving!
Honk.
But it is missing the apostrophe.
I had to move much closer to the screen, even after hints.
If I stop for a moment and focus, I can read it fairly easily if I close my left (non dominant) eye.
With both eyes open, it’s faint; with only my left, almost invisible.
Oops… Forgot to honk:
Honk.
honk!
I can’t sleep.
Honk!
Seems a like a flock of geese in here. All that honking is keeping someone awake.
Beep, Beep!
must be a Volkswagen
Or a Nash Rambler, driven by The Playmates……
puzzle
I think i have it.
Well put it back, so the rest of us can find it too!
Okay, I guess you did, thanks….
Cos I think it might be
That’s what I thought.
Coke vs Pepsi

I love it. I want a can-opener like that.
And so “New Coke” was born…

I just hope that wick is frayed and not lit.
can’t believe Susan didn’t jump in here on that rather obvious pun line:
“‘fraid not! it’s lit”
I blew it. Now I’m blue.
