If by “they” you mean insects, rest assured they will. They are among the oldest multicellular creatures on the planet. Cockroaches have been around, essentially, forever. They can survive any environmental onslaught, widespread destruction, drought, flood, fire, and predation, and eat almost anything that’s left.
I just really appreciate the beauty of this. It’s awesome, whether it is real or an homage to nature. For me, there is no necessity to analyze the components. It’s like looking at an image of fairies in a woodland…..it’s magical.
The only intervention in the Clifford household is a stern but lame “Confound it, Cleo!” while, or occasionally right before, she does exactly whatever she wants.
Edit:
Not too sure how to post video links on here, it doesn’t seem to be working how I thought it would as it seems to be adding code to the link I pasted. Help, anyone?
Thanks for the info. What I did is what I usually do when trying to post links elsewhere (And we all know how THAT went!……..mutter….mutter……) which is to open the video in it’s own page, then copy/paste the URL to the dialogue box. The coding seen in my post above was added by this page, not by me.
I could not open this up at all in EDGE, yet it did open in GOOGLE. You only needed to post on GOOGLE this part: i.imgur.com/S9MFjKw.mp4 )
Also, I tried posting it here in the comments, but WordPress would not accept it (at least, not from me) Videos from YouTube are usually the most successful.
So, I did find this on YouTube:
(Copy & paste the URL from YouTube onto a comment box here. Then REFRESH your page and the video should show up!)
that is sooooo hilarious!!….makes me think that doggie is either exhausted or drugged…..every dog that’s ever lived with me reacted in negative way to a vacuum cleaner….maybe the small size and lesser noise makes it less of a threat
(sigh) On top of our other problems (major trouble with the landlord/neighbors), our washing machine died (well; not quite – probably just the cam belt; broken or slipped down) three weeks ago, We have enough clean clothes but want to repair it ourselves soon because letting repair it – well; we need all our arms and legs.
But today, our dish-washer – well; the heating unit – decided to blow the fuse. Sparklingly. Repeatedly.
Fortunately, we have some spare fuses of that kind (those with buttons) because that one looks quite – err – interesting (the top of the middle button blew off) now…
Well – after a quarter of a century and its other issues the dw may rest in peace.
On the bright side: A friend of my husband e-mailed him if he remembered where that darn CPU they had tinkered with recently was. I told my husband to call his friend and – since he was there – visit him at his shop nearby to help him find that darn thing. They finally succeeded! Of course it was in a place they had looked several times before.
No biggie – only specially and uniquely designed to control hardware in the five-figure-region – and I’m not referring to C&C salary.
For anyone still interested in the questions that arose about yesterday’s puzzle, my response (which I also just posted on yesterday’s comments:
I very rarely use a Cut & Paste technique, or for that matter, MS Paint. I use other programs and particularly one that has an excellent cloning tool. That’s what I use most often, and it’s much more exact. However, I have noticed that occasionally, some areas seem to fade by the time it gets posted on WordPress…..specifically, I am referring to the belt on the woman on the left.
BUT, the focus for the solver here should be that the belt was repositioned! It seems that a few of you focus too much on microscopic differences in pixels. Given the fact that a lot of these images aren’t the best resolution (depending on the original artist’s medium—a photo would probably be sharper) and that the resolution may change each time it’s copied from the original web source to my computer to Nighthawks, who posts it on Fridays, to finally, WP, the tiny differences of the belt outline that come into question are not something that I would do deliberately to try to challenge you. I’m well aware that everybody has different screen sizes and may also not be seeing the same resolution or even have the sharpest vision.
Now, with all that being said, the top of the mirror should have also shown the top of two leaves on the vine just behind it. Here, the main focus was that the mirror was taller and not the very tiny leaves. Mea Culpa! The mirror change was really tricky and took more time than the rest of all the other differences! I was so frustrated with it that I never noticed the leaves. But, be assured, those tiny leaves or anything that tiny would never be an intended difference. I congratulate you for seeing the discrepancy and for scrutinizing the image so thoroughly, but please believe me…..I would never include that minuscule difference. I wouldn’t expect everybody to be able to see something like that.
Thanks for commenting and questioning!! Each week, I strive to make these puzzles better, so I appreciate what you all have to say.
And, a special shout-out to Susan for her contributions and her replies to you all!
.
I hope that they survive us.

Now, that bee looks almost cute.
I just kinda have a problem with that pointy stuff at the back end.
Me, too!!
..
She is queen of her world.
It all looks artificial…
Especially the super-shiny bug, which doesn’t seem to have an actual insect’s head or eyes.
Looks like a little sculpture, with a microcosm of a perfect ladybug world.
Real one:
I just really appreciate the beauty of this. It’s awesome, whether it is real or an homage to nature. For me, there is no necessity to analyze the components. It’s like looking at an image of fairies in a woodland…..it’s magical.
Lady bugs are red and eat aphids, thus beneficial. The orange imposters (see above) are an invasive Asian beetle.
Going by number of spots and large white side patches, I would guess that Susan, indeed, posted a ladybug. Where is JP Steve with his expert opinion?
..or Alex with his mind-numbing details?
I got it in Google search, but the page it took me to was an article describing ladybugs!
And no this wasn’t being used as an example of a false identification.
i thought she was quite purdy.
…
Love this!
NOSE!
Too adorable!!!
….
Nope.
Sorry, that’s not it.
When you find it, it’s not buried or hiding!
Yes.
OMG all of a sudden it was just there.
Once you see it, it’s obvious, but it’s weird how long that takes.
The snake is rather small, curved into maybe the size of a footprint, lying in an S shape starting just to the left of that leaf.
I can’t really make out the head for certain, but the whole body has a diamond or zigzag pattern.
You can clearly see triangles of it, once you notice it, and it ends in a pointy tail.
Yikes!
There it is. Those patterns suggest a viper, mebbee a copperhead.
I’m no expert, but i think copperhead.
it took me forever! thanks for the help, ladies!
Herewith, my guess: If I’m right, I saw it fairly quickly.
Aaaand I’m dead wrong. But at least I was fast.
Ha ha! That and $4 will get you a cuppa joe!
(I haven’t bought a cup of coffee in ages. Did I get the price right? I almost put a dime.)
Just a heads up…
You need to be sure the image link (or text or whatever you’re trying to hide) stays highlighted while you click the [+] and type in the tag.
Clicking OK puts brackets around only the highlighted stuff, which stays within them and gets hidden.
When you’re ready to click Post Comment, anything outside those brackets will show openly!
I had to cheer and look at your answers.
I still had a heck a time spotting it.
…..
Too much kibble. Not enough walks.
…or waddles…
Aww…..I didn’t think he looked that chubby…
yes, when laying on a hard surface the body kinda bulges out like a water balloon laid down…
fell asleep in the water bowl?
that’d be a good way to drown
.
Deja-view.
I love this! So colorful!
if anybody remembers the ’80’s mini-series “The Stand”, they featured this tune
Oh….OK! No wonder I was confused. You told me “The Shining”.
Hey, Montana Lady…it was cute, right?
NOSES!!!
i had to watch it the second time because i was too afraid to watch her around all that bamboo! alls well that ends well.
Looks to me like it’s time for an intervention..
If you’re talking about Cleo… what are the odds?
The only intervention in the Clifford household is a stern but lame “Confound it, Cleo!” while, or occasionally right before, she does exactly whatever she wants.
including ”who’s going to clean up your mess”!!!!!
yeah, the only intervention i’d like to hear is ”CLEO! NO!!”
Good night people and pets.
Good night yourself.
Our heroine from “Gun Crazy,” Peggy Cummins, is starring on Svengoolie tonight on “Curse of the Demon.”
So Stel, when will you run “Pun Crazy” again?
I’m remembering two great “Punderwoman” comic book covers, that Stel did for my birthdays…
I love them but they’re too birthday-themed to run just any old time.
Why am I not remembering “Pun Crazy”?
I’d think it would be near the top of my lists.
Shame on you! Your namesake (SusanSunbasset) starred in it!
I know I replied to this… . Where did it go?
Anyway, I said…
It was 4 am…LOL…
I can hardly remember my own name at 4am.
That’s why some of my comments are so loopy.
I’ll try for this week, Dennis.
Thanks!
Thanks for posting that, Happy! Looney Tunes have always been my favorite, even as a kid!
Same!
that’s where i began my love of classical music!
Yes!
Here’s hoping this video works.
Edit:
Not too sure how to post video links on here, it doesn’t seem to be working how I thought it would as it seems to be adding code to the link I pasted. Help, anyone?
Not your fault. Copying and pasting the url works fine.
Sweet!
Hi!
Just paste the URL in your comment….
Looks to me like maybe you’re trying to code a proper link, including the video source.
The HTML takes care of itself on WordPress… we don’t need to put it in, or img src either.
….
If you’re not putting it in, but it’s adding itself, it might have to do with how you’re getting the links.
Be sure a video is open in its own page, and you’re not trying to paste a link from another page or a search page.
If it’s open, you can just use the URL from the address bar.
…
If you know all that, and it’s something else, I may be out of my league, but I’ll try again in the afternoon if you still need it.
Also… I’m not sure whether it’s still happening, but some people here were having a problem with one browser or another.
I can’t remember which… But they switched to a different one and it worked.
I use Firefox when I’m on my computer, and I haven’t had a problem.
Right now I’m using a tablet full time and my android browser works fine too.
Thanks for the info. What I did is what I usually do when trying to post links elsewhere (And we all know how THAT went!……..mutter….mutter……) which is to open the video in it’s own page, then copy/paste the URL to the dialogue box. The coding seen in my post above was added by this page, not by me.

cute!
Modernized massager?
What will they think of next?

Awesome. I think Hildegard there has actually learned to love her new flatmate.

They are short sighted then?
which ones aren’t made with turkey?

No worries. It’s always fun – and that’s what matters!
Thanks.
Always a challenge, Stel. And always enjoyable, and satisfying, once all have been found.
The Crystals!!!!! The dancers in the background!!!!!! WOW.
have you been welcomed formally?
if not , WELCOME! (sorry , WordPress wouldn’t let me use my formal font)
sure wish I coulda been there live (as opposed to being there dead)
