Old as it is, it’s still funny… okay, it was still funny last time I saw it, which was probably in the 20th century, but I have no reason to think it became unfunny at any point since then.
It was the first, and is still one of a very few, movies to sweep the Oscars … best picture, director, actor, actress, and screenplay.
Except as far as I can tell, it’s really not a cake… it’s a gingerbread house. Walls baked of cut out gingerbread (cookies), all cemented together at the edges with hard icing.
There’s no cake inside, only air, and I think the bottom is a revolving stand, not a cake either.
My problem is that’s a very YOUNG Dennis Hopper. I saw a TZ episode with William Shatner once. Again, very young. Took me a good five minutes to realize who it was.
.
Now that’s pretty freaky even to my warped mind!
I assumed this was another AI creature, but according to my search, it’s a Brahmin moth caterpillar.
The adult moths are kinda fancy too….
Cool!
,,
Gremlins! They’re ba-a-a-ack.
Doesn’t Australia have the cutest animals?
Excuse me. I’ve got to go change my shorts.
,
Wonderful movie!

..
Not a clue.
Great band, fabulous tunes.
They look different somehow from their usual photos, but this is actually at the height of their fame….
….
So spake Obi-wan Kenobi…
,.
I just recently found out that RR was not a Jay Ward production.
I just found out very very recently … last night, right here…. that he exists.
Just as bad and maybe worse than Ward. Lots of topical adult humor for mom and dad.
.,
Did Susan create that? Who’s birthday is it for?
No but I wish it were for mine!

But it’s beeoootiful.
To get really fanciful, what if it was filled with goodies, like a pinata?
Jellybeans?
Gosh…. Wouldn’t they be rolling all over the floor the minute you cut into it?
Landslide!!
Cut into it?! How could you?
I couldn’t, to tell the truth.
When I was a kid I had a hard time eating chocolate bunnies and Santas.
I haven’t changed much.
Looks like a $1000 kids cake (or more, I’ve never priced cakes, so I have nothing to compare it with).
,..
Did I tell you how it woke me up when it exploded?
more details please
Vancouver, BC, 8:32ish am, a noise woke me up. I said “I bet that’s Mt. Saint Helen’s,” and went back to sleep.
I live in southern Oregon. When this blew, we were cleaning ash off our cars for weeks.
I know I told here that I bought my sister-in-law a little bottle of the ash for a present.
Not my thing, but she loved it.
can you find the odd one?
Same place I always find it: in the mirror.
I wasn’t going to do it cos there are so many it’s tedious… but all of a sudden it waved at me and said “Here I am!”
Well…. sort of.
It’s not much of a difference.
Solve it first…. but if you can’t find it or get tired of looking and it doesn’t pop out and say hello….
Nothing is jumping for me.
I’ll come back and try later.
“The Penguin Whisperer…”
Awww.
I never knew they’d do that.
Hey, cute little guys…. would you like to go show yesterday’s puzzle maker what you look like?
If you know a pelican who’d come along… That would be great.
.,..,
No idea who or what movie, but it looks like a very dramatic scene.
Tradition says “Twilight Zone?”
Tradition is correct.
I’m surprised I didn’t recognize the younger actor, but he’s got one of those faces that for me, disappears into every role he plays.
I was going to say it in my own words, but I like the unintended humor in the description I found…
Oh forgot to say

“To Infinity and Beyond!”
Hah! Good one, Claude!
She’s more likely to chew on the shoes.
And P on the paper…
At least two people are not having a good day (shut off your sound / the chosen music is supposed to induce a sense of suspense: it doesn’t).
Someone didn’t use enough chains! If any………
Okay, now it’s three people…
That was close!
He looks a bit…stunned….
.
what happened here?
Goose or duck landing on a frozen pond.
It has snowed on the ice.
That’s hilarious!
I like that it skidded to a stop, left a calling card, puddled about a bit to settle itself, then wandered off.
After a landing like that, I would have left a “calling card” myself!
Some interesting bits of history from today’s London “Daily Mail.”
Another Cleo Comic that deserves ten thumbs up!
Agreed!
