Along the same lines, years ago I heard this on the radio.
Canada could have been blessed. We could have had French cuisine, English culture, and American know-how.
Intstead we got cursed with French know-how, English cuisine, and American culture.
the plane looks to me like a drone—but I’m not sure what that means—-
Is it referring to the word ‘drone’ as in drone on ..or to a remote-controlled flying device?
neither makes much sense to me as to their relation to ‘problem solving’
I saw two possible interpretations:
1) Military “solution”
2) Excess technology (e.g. in the 60’s the US found that astronauts needed a way to take notes in space; after millions of dollars, they came up with the ‘space pen’. The Soviets used a pencil).
Looks like half is vanilla and the other half chocolate.
I bet the leftovers, if there are any, are all from the vanilla side…. though I do have a friend who, while she tolerates chocolate, always chooses vanilla.
Robin has a habit of leading off his entreaties with the downside.
Obviously, he needs to stress the fun, the camaraderie, the derring do…
The problem is that to him, all those downsides and hardships ARE the fun.
Sleeping in the mud, swinging through the trees (even though he crashes) daring swordplay, fighting off the King’s Army ten against one…
Who wouldn’t jump at the chance?
After all, they don’t yet have TV or the Internet to entertain them.

Reflecting deeply on his life…
Showing his young cat friend the places he hung out in his youth.

Poor Winky… er Tintin, I hope he has good spleen donor lined up.

Eartha Kitt
She was a force of nature.
just like Josephine Baker before her.
Just like Swift today.
I think that we lost ours when Janis died too young.
Still beautiful in 1967.

Whose flag is fourth up from the bottom (the sleeper)?
Meaning they take a long midday siesta, no matter what.😁

I’ve heard that. 🙂

As a fellow Canadian, I believe you heard correctly.
Most are kind of funny, but I didn’t know what the plane represents. Is it a bomber? Military excess makes sense.
Plus I don’t really get the Belgian one….
I guess I’ve never heard any stereotype about them…
I just think of great chocolate, lovely, rich food and beautiful furniture.
And a lot of Renaissance art.
..
Oh… Hercule Poirot is Belgian, and messes things up…
But so is Claude Van Damme, and he’ll make a mess of YOU if you say bad things about Belgium.
I like the Italian one.

My father was fascinated by that aircraft when he was a child.
He ended up flying transport aircraft into war zones.

Kiki!
Certainly in her own mind.
Oh, you bet. You can see it her attitude! 😀
This really needs to be rendered in velvet and shown under a black light.
find the dancer
I don’t see any swan…
Got her! 😮
Yeah, that one jumped out at me too.
Oh yes.
Found her. Or should that be founder?
It took me a while. I thought all of the males were dancers (dance or end up alone).
I’m guessing at this point nobody needs the solution?
I feel asleep last night getting ready to post it.

And if the kings army doesn’t kill them in daring combat at the peak of health, they’ll all die of dysentery in another year anyway.
Or the plague.
