Love the blue eyes – very rare in bassets! The ears are wonderful too.

Hmmm…. I do see 16 strips of metal… but I think that makes 12 slots for toast.

Oh! I recognize her!

This is Annette Kellerman, early 20th century Australian swimming champion, who became a performer and then a movie actress.

She was one of the first women (some say the first woman) to wear a one piece bathing suit… her first was actually a man’s suit. She popularized in them, and later started a company that designed and sold them.

She was also thought to be the first woman to appear nude in a movie.

Um…. I agree that they look safer that way…

But somebody should tell that little tree to stand up!

Amazing creatures.

They have slightly sticky pads on their feet, which is supposedly why they can do this, or at least part of the reason.

But watching them nonchalantly defy gravity, without a second thought… run up cliffs, slide like this against vertical rock faces…

I can tell you that a 3 gallon bucket of super glue wouldn’t persuade me to try it even 6 feet from the ground.

There are strange things done in the midnight sun
      By the men who moil for gold;
The Arctic trails have their secret tales
      That would make your blood run cold;
The Northern Lights have seen queer sights,
      But the queerest they ever did see
Was that night on the marge of Lake Lebarge
      I cremated Sam McGee.

I have recited that one once or twice for the Scouts’ Klondike Derby

The end is a real punchline.

I couldn’t find this particular picture, but this site has thousands of puzzles, and you can choose to make them anything from 50 to 500 pieces.

I didn’t get the impression the croc was trying to help the little guy out of the water…

I think he was trying to grab lunch, and he missed.

When he opened his mouth, to take a bite, he inadvertently lifted his prey up onto the bank… where Mama was waiting anxiously.

I hate to say it about an advertisement, but that’s pretty creative.

I can’t really see how those few stakes are casting that solid shadow.

I guess I’ll have to look at it again tomorrow.

So far I don’t see anything significantly more feathery than all the other feathery things I see that presumably are not feathers.

I’ll be back.

Searching…
Like what Susan says, hard to determine what is what, and I only found it by eliminating all of the NON-feathers:
