First (and longest of the year) day of astronomical summer on the north hemisphere.
Yes; there might be a theme here.
Weather forecast for today from 1 pm to 4 am CEST: Heavy thunderstorms and rain (about 1.6 inches within a short period of time), hail from two up to nearly three inches diameter and hurricane gusts of nearly 100 mph…
It wasn’t that bad here in our area of Munich – and with all that flooding, it is highly recommended by the authorities to avoid subterranean areas; especially those where the doors are likely to be blocked by water and rubble (drowning).
You’re right! That’s much better! As I said, I was running late last night, so I didn’t have a whole lot of time to play each one through. Thanks for posting that!!!!
Don’t cut yourself short!
And those near-sighted humans should be grateful they haven’t referred to you as a female adult dog – or they’d have to deal with the whole C&C community! GRRRRRRR…
She emailed me to say… oh gosh… I’m just going to let her say it.
I don’t think she’ll mind. I did tell her I’d let everyone know.
From her message:
“My husband went to his heart surgeon today and got a clean bill of health. He doesn’t even want to see him again. He said his heart should be good for years to come.
He has progressed really well. I’m impressed with the physical therapists where he has been staying. He will be coming home on Tuesday.”
Yay!!
It’s so great to hear that!
…
BTW she added
“Not sure when I will get back to the comics.”
So we’ll see her when we see her… but meanwhile, things are looking up!
[parts from original posters]
(Sorry I’m a bit late tonight. I had dozed off…)
I will soon. 🙂
Join the club…
Wonderful little movie. Alan Arkin steals every scene he’s in, and the movie.
So, all it takes is FOUR fans to cool off inside the sun……good to know!
I’m sensing a theme here….
Sensing? With your ESP?
what a perception you have!
I do both. More than once a day.
I would argue that confers sleeper status.

Not 1 pm, but 4 pm now. Good! We’re expecting a beverage delivery before that. Glad that the delivery guy won’t get harmed…
,,,or the beverage
Hold tight. I hope you have a good storm cellar.

I think this clip gives a better idea of how this film develops.
But definitely watch Little Miss Sunshine! It may have failed your radar, but it is good!
i will have to watch for. i really like alan arkin.

OMG… Little Miss Sunshine….
THANK you, Stel!
I mean… I think so.
But it’s also sooo embarrassing to see it again.
…
I was so young… thinking I’d be a star one day…
but starting out in basset movies is hard.
There’s so much talent around you, it’s a good place to learn your craft….
But squeezing into that short-legged little costume… whoa!
And while the dogs all spoke English, I didn’t speak basset…. so I think I missed quite a few little jokes at my expense.
….
Interesting that it was copied in an all human version.
They never did copy Stel’s whole poster, though.
I’m a human (do I need to say that?) but in spite of my experience, you may notice that the human Olive is played by some little girl named Abigail.
My Mom said they probably didn’t ask me because they thought I was really a dog!
I thought that was praise for my acting….
but nowadays I’m not sure that was what she meant.
It’s um… it’s OK. Really. I like dogs.
Don’t cut yourself short!

Thanks… sniffle..
That’s not a Basset bed, that’s an unwheeled clown car!
Of course it is – or maybe there’s a hole in the wall (restaurant) hidden behind it?
I saw that a long time ago…
I think it was a clip on YouTube, before it was a gif.
There was a long argument in the comments over whether it was faked, with stop-motion editing.
Since no one in the discussion had actually been present at the filming, it was pretty pointless to keep discussing it.
You can come scratching at my door anytime you want.
But will you let her out?
LOL, maybe
Meanwhile, Cleo family…
Tonight I got some great news from Perkycat!
