Is somebody supposed to be driving that Merc?
It’s hard to notice, but there’s a black gloved hand on the steering wheel. There’s also someone sitting in the passenger seat.
I think they have black masks on.

Something’s not right here. That top ladybug has too many legs and somebody else’s head!
Could one be on top of another?
You remember that poster too? I don’t think so, and the head looks more like the head of a wasp…
The lowest one isn’t quite as bad, but it has extra legs too.
Those are maxilliary palps (mouthparts) so that’s okay…
I hope not, they’re eating with their anuses if those are mouth parts. There’s the mouth, three legs, then further back, another leg. It looks a bit like a shadow, but if you look close, there’s a leg there.
…and why would they hang out on ripe grain at all – no food for them there. Unless – you know – mutants.
Or if there was a convenient crop of aphids to harvest…
Those aren’t lady bugs.
I think you’re right. They’re all weird. The middle one’s pronotum (neck armour) is all wrong too. Three made-up not-ladybugs…
On dry ripe grain? – Not likely.

A famous local restaurant had a statue like that in the ladies’ room. The statue had a fig leaf and if you moved it a siren went off!
