That was quite some chunk of property that these fellows claimed!

I mean how could four guys mark all that territory.

Cleo used, as I recall, a big red marker…

That IS what you mean, right?

Did you see the Pooch Cafe strip where the hydrant truck crashes into a tree? Maybe they could line the border with fire hydrants.

Even though I like the image, and I know what that object is, now.. I can even see it as her 1920’s style hat brim, by reminding myself….

with the shadows in the picture, it still kinda looks like a sideways floating crescent moon, in between their faces.

Sigh….

Wow… “Bone-anza!”

With three kids, two adults and one TV…. Bone-anza was one of the only programs my whole family agreed on.

Every Sunday night, in front of the huge 14″ black and white TV, we all paid our respects.

My sister claimed Little Joey, aka Mikey Landhound, as HER dog…

But I didn’t care cos I wanted to put my leash on Pawnell Robarks… to me, the smart, more grown-up, pick of the litter.

More grown up than I knew…. We later found out all of the “brothers” were years older than we thought…

and except for Little Joey, they all wore toupees, being, in real life, far too old to be growly-voiced, also wig-wearing, Lorrrrne Grrreene’s puppies….

even though in their roles on the show, they all acted like obedient teenagers.

Speaking of his grrrowly voice…
Who the heck told Lorrrne Grrreene he could sing?

Did somebody forget to yell “April Fool!”?

Maybe that’s why they only used instrumental versions on the show…

Nobody wanted be the one to tell him they were going to use someone else’s vocals.

Though it was made pretty obvious in the various plots, I don’t remember knowing till later that each pup had a different mother…

That Pa really got around.

And I’d lay odds it wasn’t his singing that attracted the ladydogs.

Nonetheless, we loved the show…

Accepting its premise … three grown men living with Pa, obeying his orders… and always ready to solve problems on the range.

We were all ready to believe it.

This site is unlike most of GoComics, in that a lot of us continue the conversation well into the West Coast afternoon, which is early evening in the East.

Especially in this heat, I’ve been coming back to answer people when it starts to cool off.

But some people never see those comments .. not just mine, but those of everyone who posts late.

….

So this is just a heads up, if you’re one of those who seldom looks back for replies, a bit later, or when you come to see the new strip.

I know I myself replied to several people yesterday… just in case you’re interested…

ie, Grayhame, about “David”… and Nighthawks, in several places.

LOVED today’s poster, Stel!!! the artwork is sooooooooo good, especially with the 4 characters in the center!

all the music was well done. but the best part was watching that magnificent horse galloping across the Ranch in time with the music! can’t get any better than that!

This fits with nothing here, but I came across it while looking for the original posting of the “Dancing in the Moonlight” gif (I didn’t find it).
It will blow your mind.
