Unless I am very much mistaken, this was the subject of a Far Side cartoon.

BTW that would be a real word, if it actually existed.

I mean, the parts exist but nobody really uses them together.

It would just mean “fear of ducks”, though. Nothing about watching.

And that’s not a recognized phobia…. though there are people who have a fear of birds in general… Ornithophobia.

I did see a website offering online treatment for anatidaephobia, even saying it was the fear of ducks watching you….but it was the kind of phoney treatment center that I’m sure will take your money and sell you anything.

Other sites said it was a joke created by Gary Larson.

And I guess stolen for a photo contest entry on Worth1000.

As my immediate neighbour has been raising some ducks over the past few weeks, this is an actual concern!

It’s

SPOILER
Harrison Ford
and an actress in some movie.

Sheesh… I always gotta pick up the pieces….

First piece….

The actress is Lesley-Anne Down. She’s in her early 20s. Ford in his late 30s. Of course.

She’s English…. she did a lot of forgotten movies, and some not forgotten ones… but also had roles in a lot of American TV shows

Second piece…
The movie is Hanover Street… 1979. I guess it’s one of the forgotten ones.

That’s sad… I didn’t realize a lot of them were gone.

But considering that those shows were all from the mid-1970s, it shouldn’t be surprising that the oldest actors would be gone, 50 years later.

That still leaves some others who left way too young.
RIP Robin Williams.

I remember reading that vultures have the strongest stomach acid of any bird or mammal, and can survive on a diet of bones by dissolving them. That’s also why they can eat rotten carrion.

But I’ve also read that they drop large bones from a height to break them into digestible pieces.

That sure doesn’t look like a digestible piece.

Then again…. I don’t have a vat of acid for a stomach.

A giant having fun.

Okaaay… Yes… a human with a model. That would be fun too.

No! Wait a minute… Google identifies this as a picture of the Texas School Book Depository.

Yikes.

I believe this must be a model of the scene of John F. Kennedy’s assassination.

Not fun!

If so, and we’re all just little toys in his model set-up, maybe this time, he can play the scene differently, and NOT kill him!

Oh gosh… I recognize her.

She didn’t look a whole lot older in her first movie… Well, yeah, quite a bit but not unrecognizably, cos she was playing a teenager…

in …
The Last Picture Show

But what you’ll remember her from is starring in two television series…

They were….

“Moonlighting”, opposite still unknown Bruce Willis…

And “Cybill”, where Christine Baranski got her start.
I know, I know… Who’s Christine Baranski? But she’s great.

If you haven’t figured out…

she’s…
Cybill Shepherd

You might think”A machine did that”….it didn’t.
The whole of the 9 1/4 minutes is interesting.

My train of thought tends to run right off the rails.

And as I get older, the rails get weaker… a little bent, a little chipped.
The ties wear out and break down. Then they’re not tied to anything.

I wouldn’t actually mind the train going, if it didn’t take the thoughts with it.

I lost a whole boxcar load just the other day… I hate that helpless feeling of watching it roll off a siding and crash.

Meanwhile…. Clara, you can’t stop the bad joke train. It’ll just chug along right over anything in its path.

Even when the thoughts are gone, and the brain is almost blank… the last few cloudy bits inside are probably bad jokes.

When my Dad had Alzheimer’s and couldn’t understand much of anything… he still got jokes.
