Here in the UK the ‘Powers That Be’ of, what is generally referred to as ‘The Nanny State’ over here, decided that the word “Ninja” was too suggestive of unspeakable violence to show to young kids. Therefore, when the cartoon series was released here it had the revised title of “Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles.” When the film was released it kept the TMNT title, but it was heavily censored to remove any use of nunchucks etc.
I did find an article about the changes and the reasoning thereof:
Yes and it’s extremely annoying that I can’t buy spares and things I can’t get easily over here from Europe, or if I can, shipping is prohibitive.
Case in point; One of my vehicles is a 19yo Fiat Doblo panel van, last year the fuel tank sprung a leak, and a new one was going to cost something like £1200 + VAT (@20%). I had a look online for second-hand ones, and I found plenty from suppliers in Europe (Fiat is Italian), but even though they were cheap, none of the suppliers would ship to the UK. The only ones that would worked out to nearly the cost of a new one once you added the Import Duty, the Shipping, and the VAT 🙁 I eventually sourced a used one from the UK, but it took a while to find one.
Gotta love Roy O.
Excellent dance routine by Christopher Walken
I recognized him in the opening, but I couldn’t believe it was him dancing.
From what I’ve read, Walken started out as a dancer. I don’t think that he actually flew though….

Christopher Walken dancing
I was thinking it must have been when he was fairly young…
But he’s 80 now(!!) and it was 22 years ago.
Granted, 58 isn’t super old… but it’s still impressive, for dancing like this.
68.
Typo… 22 years ago.
(2001)
Fixed.
It’s like he turns on the daylight by turning off the light.

Bob has a better idea of turtle speed than Ignatz,
One of the original comics is probably worth a mint right now.
TMNB: it had to happen.
