Those sea chickens are nothing to fool around with. They are some very salty characters.

Always like that first line “When you’re feeling low and the fish won’t bite.”

I wasn’t very familiar with this song or group…. remember what they say about the 70’s…

but I like it pretty well.

The question I have is… just how are they defining “soul”?

Must have been regional. This song got lots of air play out east. I’ve always liked it.

1950 (I’m pretty sure) bullet nose Studebaker Commander… design icon of its day.

Would have been a prosaic sort of car, but the nose was just too cool. It was also very fast for its category.

Earl Pickles still drives one…. and we all know how cool he is.

OK… first, a cartful of TNT, and then, a cannon.

Well, we see it as 1st and 2nd… but who knows… maybe it’s 5th and sixth or even the 11th and 12th load of weaponry that Cleo has paraded past the ever-calm Clara and Claude this evening.

With never a question, nary a word of reproach.

No one gets up to investigate where it’s going, or whether it’s been left in a safe manner, or some is locked and loaded, or primed and ready.

Claude sees it as the calm before the storm.

If the storms on your planet are powered by trinitrotoluene and artillery, Claude…. maybe you should try coming to Earth.

You know… Earth.

Where people are actually in control of, and held responsible for, their pets…. even stubborn basset hounds.

Tomorrow’s Monday. You can grumble like Garfield or do something (not sure what) like Clio is planning.

EWC is gonna get it.

Good Sunday morning, Cleophanatics and the local air show is in full swing.

0830 the very old and very loud Grumman WWII Aircraft took off for the first flight of the day. And the Experimental Aircraft Association’s 1928 Ford Tri Motor passenger plane put in an appearance.

Beautiful weekend for it.

Y’all have a great day. (((((HuGz!)))))

My Boring Sunday bit:
Starting weight: 184 lbs. / Goal weight: 145 lbs. (-39 lbs.)
31.0078125 in.³/lb. butter × 39 lbs. = 1,209.3046875 in. ³ of me to lose in total
Weight lost to last week: 12.0 lbs. (27.0 lbs. left)
31.0078125 in.³/lb. butter × 12.0 lbs. = 372.09375 in.³ of me lost to Sunday, May 29, 2022
1,209.3046875 in³ – 372.09375 in.³ = 837.2109375 in. ³ of me left to lose.

Last week’s weight: 172.0 lbs. / Goal weight today:170.5 lbs.
I am now 174.2 lbs.

AAARRRGGGHHHH ! ! ! !

172.0 lbs. – 174.2 lbs. = -2.2 lbs.
27.0 lbs. – -2.2 lbs. = 29.2 lbs. (balance of desired loss to reach 145 lbs.)
31.0078125 in.³/lb. butter × -2.2 lbs. = -68.2171875 in.³ of me lost this week.
303.8765625 in.³ + -68.2171875 in.³ = 235.659375 in.³ of me lost to date
1,209.3046875 in.³ – 235.659375 in.³ = 973.6453125 in.³ to go
174.2 lbs. lbs. – 1.5 lbs. = 172.7 lbs. (next Sunday’s goal weight)

What happened?
I again increased my beer consumption to pre diet quantities, with the added kick of a 4 litre jug (as far as I know, only Ontario still has the bags) of whole milk; I like milk. Too many calories.
I’ve had to at least temporarily curtail two exercises. The regimen aggravated an old injury to the point of pain-interference with my whole routine which is not good.
The plateau remains unbroken so week 12, with the exception of the curtailments, is the same-old same-old.
The front tire on my Trikke is going to be replaced. It was shiny-bald at the beginning of last week, and by the end there were cords showing through. With even shiny rubber I’ll run full inflation but with cords; replace the tire.
My cheques did arrive in good order, so now I have to make time to write out 12 for the lease renewal.
Oh, and my step count, in full this week, is 19,297.
The attachment below comes from yesterday’s “Ripley’s….”.
I’ll shut up now.
