But are you talking about the old kind you see with special 3D glasses, or about stereograms, mostly from the 1970s-80s, where your eyes have to do the work?
Cos a lot of people get headaches from stereograms, usually cos they’re trying to force their eyes, when they actually work by relaxing them
The glasses kind, like these old comic books, usually give no problems, if you have the glasses.
It’s the stereogram kind I see accidentally, when things like brick walls or tile floors overlap in my vision.
I think it’s just a normal picture… almost certainly taken with a telephoto lens, cos you can’t get close to them.
Telephoto lenses have a very small area of sharp focus… that’s what makes the background look blurry, not that the leopard is superimposed.
The thing is, it’s an Asian snow leopard, not an African leopard.
Its habitat is high mountain peaks, and it’s adapted for cold and for climbing.
They have giant paws, that act as snowshoes, so they don’t sink in heavy drifts, and also shield their paws from sharp rocks.
And big thick super furry tails, that carry extra fat for nutrition when prey is scarce, and which they use for balance on rocks, and can wrap around themselves for warmth.
According to a couple of 2014 news stories, this was in Chicago.
This great horned owl was seen being forced by some falcons to land in the lake (not sure what the falcons did)… where it swam to shore, rested on the beach till it was dry, and finally flew away
Yeah, I grew up in Alaska. It wasn’t particularly authentic, but it wasn’t bad enough to be offensive. I loved the whole series, until the final season. It fell apart fast.
to your life I’ve used this solitaire game site for a few years now.
There are tons of games (and their variations) to play, and Rob, or Robert (his introduction of himself varies), has put together videos that explain the rules for all of them.
(for some reason I can no longer put emojies in my comments / there was meant to be a large winking emoji after the “real excitment,” but it wouldn’t post except as a U.R.L.)
Penelope is no doubt a calico. Black & white, with orange and brown.
More orange in the front, more brown on her sides and back.
One black front leg and one brown. With white toes on both!
In late Victorian London, poverty was so severe that even sleep came at a price. The “Four-penny coffin” offered the homeless a wooden box to lie in, while the cheaper “Two-penny hangover” let people sleep upright on a bench, slumped over a rope. Though often linked to the term “Hangover,” the word actually originated from unfinished business, not this sleeping practice.
I’d think it would feel much better to lie in a box then on the pavement, or on uneven ground. Flatter, a bit more cozy and protected. No one will step on you. Looks like they get a blanket.
I dunno about hanging over a rope… but maybe the ground was snowy and icy… though the weather doesn’t look bad in the top picture…. or rocky.
Also, there might have been a vagrancy law, where sleeping on bare ground would have gotten you rounded up and sent to the workhouse.
If that’s the mother, how hideous is the chick? 😀
hideousness is subjective
Of course you known i’m joking.
No such thing as an ugly dog.
No such thing as an ugly bird.
“Are you serious? Are you even kidding me?”
Don’t worry, baby…. I don’t think you’re hideous, and I’m sure your Mama doesn’t either.
And I’m sure some other ostrich thinks you’re a cute chick.

I wanna see a page so I can wear my paper 3D glasses.
Except I think those old ones were red and green and mine are red and blue. Maybe they work well enough anyway.
I used to get headaches trying to make the 3D work!
And sometimes I see 3D where it doesn’t exist!

Was Blake still in prison?
I thought he was acquitted.
AFAIK he never went to prison.
Now I might have to look.
Any special reason we’re revisiting 2023?
it’s the only one I stumbled across….
There is something wrong with the paws on this kitty.
Looks superimposed on the background to me, but I could be wrong about that.

..,
I hope they saved it.

I loved that show!
Rob Morrow and Janine Turner
Dr. Joel Fleischman and Maggie O’Connell
Yeah yeah… some Alaskans said it wasn’t authentic… but a lot of it was a bit mystical anyway, and it was great fun
I loved that show too!
Yeah, I grew up in Alaska. It wasn’t particularly authentic, but it wasn’t bad enough to be offensive. I loved the whole series, until the final season. It fell apart fast.
I agree… they had cast changes, and went over the edge on the quirky and mystical, and became almost a parody.
It’s too bad.
Romance was so easy to lose back then.
Bad breath, a pimple, dull hair, dishpan hands… the list goes on and on.
Gee, I hope there was a school you could go to, to learn everything it would take to keep your husband, before you stupidly had five kids with him.
….
Yeah, it’s easy to think nobody believed this stuff.
But my Dad told me when I was 8 that I’d better hurry up and outgrow my glasses, or I’d never get married.
And my mom told me when I started high school not to “be too smart” or I wouldn’t get any dates.
now find a KEY.
and a HORSE SHOE

Got the horseshoe.
Got both.
Friday, we were asked to find the baseball bat, in this same picture… and I posted a list about 20 other things I see in it.
I’d post it again now but maybe Nighthawks wants to do them one or two at a time?
Hey I see a couple more right now, that aren’t even on my list.
A heart and a slice of pizza. Do you see them?
(Sorry Nighthawks, if I’m not supposed to do that.)
Funny thing is I never noticed the key… but I see it now.
until you guys get sick of perusing the same picture for different stuff, I might use this a few more times
Wasn’t the horseshoe in yesterdays puzzle? You know, on the bottom of the horse’s hoof? (Okay I’ll quit being a horse’s @$$ now.)
Why quit?
Just join the club.
There they are!
,.
I really enjoyed that movie.
Boo! 😀
He tells the truth.
Love it!
About 4 zillion years ago there was a doughnut shop near me that had a sign in the window saying “We sell doughnuts by the foot.”
I couldn’t find a picture like their display inside but the doughnuts were pretty much like this one.
They also labeled what other shops call doughnut holes, as “Doughnut toes”.
Putting your foot in your mouth is an easy task with that one.
Anytime.
4 zillion years….damn, that wa a long time ago
Yeah – I was still just a kid then myself.
Wow, I must be older than you.
It flies by so fast!
If you’re bored one day and looking to add some

Okay now I gotta try it….😁🤞🍀
Edit… Seems ok.
Maybe the large ones? I’m not getting offered any on this tablet.
Anyway… Sometimes it’s just a glitch in your connection.
A link may turn into an image when it rights itself.
The big ones are too big anyway.
This is one way to play pool…

Why didn’t they just lay on the ground?
A good question, I’m thinking possibly something to do with rats etc.

Nayland (Suffolk) is not far from me, I’ve driven through it several times. I think I’ll avoid it from now on!
