Since nobody else looked it up …. this is a quote from Twitter, but I found the same info in several places:
“Ouse Valley Viaduct in Sussex , England was originally built in 1838 to carry the London-Brighton line over the river Ouse.
It has been estimated that around 11million bricks were used in construction…”
.
So there’s a railroad track that runs along the top of this amazing row of brick arches.
About it 15 or 20 years ago I found a beautiful Radio Flyer wagon someone had thrown in a community recycling dumpster (which we no longer have, due to individual curbside recycling cans.)
I wheeled it home, cleaned it up, waxed it, and put a few pots of flowers and tomatoes in it. In the winter I’d empty and upend it, under my little patio roof.
A few years later someone (sniffle) apparently just wheeled it away, plants and all.

Look at those mittens!
Gorgeous!
Canadian lynx…
Giant paws .. the better to walk on top of snow without sinking, and to muffle the sound of their approach.
Huge eyes…. the better to see you with, far off in the dark forest.
Huge teeth, as well… the better to eat you with, my dear!
,
Where Angelina Jolie went to have her babies.
Don’t know why I remember that… But I do remember thinking “Of course… Doesn’t everybody?”
…
Took me a minute to understand the long shadows on the road.
At first I thought the vehicles were driving sideways on a
vertical cliff.

Lehmann wind-ups are even more collectible than Marx.
You have to be careful cos their toy designs and trademark were copied in the 70s…
But you can usually tell the repros.
Probably a couple hundred to buy this little guy.
,.
Don’t try this at home!
No problem. My home doesn’t overlook any bridges.
I don’t see it
See what? And then what happens?
I got nothing.
Nor do I.
There’s one thing that could be a snake but the resolution is too poor for me to tell.
Besides it’s hardly hidden or camouflaged, so I don’t really think that’s it
see the snow leopard?
Just the head
Me too, if that’s it.
Found it!

Viaduct? I know via chicken, or via goose, but viaduct?
Ask Chico… Maybe he finally got the answer.
Weird…. imitating or repurposing a vintage ad.
ESSO was an old brand name used again when Standard Oil was forced to break into smaller companies…
“Put a tiger in your tank” was a familiar Esso slogan… I can’t remember whether it was used for Standard gas before the breakup.
(If I weren’t feeling lazy I suppose I could look it up.)
SEO stands for search engine optimization….
Long tail keywords help with that…. It’s certainly not an old concept, so this is a very modern ad aimed at commercial webmasters .
I have to agree, those prices are hard to beat.

Part of me thinks
Right the first time!
Hmmm… I guess I could see a slight resemblance…
But your guess is someone I hate to say that i usually recognize by his…um…. let’s just say “unique” nose.
?
I recognized the young man, after staring for a moment or two…. pretty much because of those eyebrows…
And I think also the intensity of his direct gaze, which he uses to great effect in his roles.
Oops… Hope it’s not considered a spoiler to say that… But it’s already Sunday afternoon.
Liverlips already identified him in his first spoiler box.
…And a Par-trige in a Pear Tree!
Hmmm. Do I detect a theme in today’s song choices?
theme? like Stel loved to do?–that’s crazy talk
Well, I’m just crazy enough to see one.
That’s a heckuva complicated order Cleo placed. Especially when you consider that Claude merely asked for black coffee.
We must have commented around the same time…. I didn’t see yours when I posted.
As my dad would have said… “great minds think alike…”
Claude ordered “A cuppa Joe, black.”
