An article in     THE DAILY MAIL     from June of 2016. The three of them were quite popular at that time.
Harlow, has since crossed the rainbow bridge.

First I thought somebody pulled a fast one on Mama.

A Weimaraner with dachshund pups?

But then I realized I was unfairly assuming one dog was the mother because s/he is bigger.

Maybe they’re all boys or all girls… and just pals.

From this distant vantage point, the Earth might not seem of any particular interest. But for us, it’s different. Consider again that dot. That’s here. That’s home. That’s us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every “superstar,” every “supreme leader,” every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there–on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.

Just in case anybody doesn’t know:

Captain Kangaroo, Bob Keesham, was the original Clarabell the Clown on Howdy Doody.

Clarabell never spoke, supposedly because she had a girls name, and the network said a man’s voice would confuse the kids.

Or any of the puppets.

Mr. Bunny was a hand puppet…

I’d think he couldn’t be in a photo with no puppet stage or other way to hide the arm of his puppeteer.

Muralist Claire Daliers

By trompe-l’oeil painter Claire Daliers and a team of five artists at Quai des Charbonnages 40 in
Molenbeek, Brussels, Belgium (2003). Mural depicts the struggle of an imposing ship, caught in a
restless swelling sea.

The above is the beginning of an article at     THIS SITE.     There are more pictures (the ship’s name is “Green Dog”) and a photograph better establishing its location.

Huh! There’s at least one rather sneaky (I thought, anyway) difference. Are you sure you got all nine? If so, my hat is off to you! Kudos.

Leaving Susan to do the ‘official’ picture, here’s my list.

1)  Colour change at last “R” of Yorker.
2)  Looking at picture: Left guy leaning in tie colour change
3)  Looking at picture: Right guy leaning in eye added
4)  Colour change on seal below eagle wing
5)  Obama’s ear
6)  Door knob raised
7)  Dog on chair has collar added
8)  Middle dog outside door nose lowered
9)  Signature between middle dog and far right dog missing last letter

Clarification:

1)  There is a definite colour change to the right of the last “R” of “Yorker” [George Washington’s (?)] coat.
I’ve just looked at Susan’s picture; all our picks match.

Despite the OK from Stel I think your description of #4 is off.

That one really is…
The panel has been expanded to the left revealing more of the eagle’s wing. There is also more of the leg showing and a wider gap between the door knob and the end of the frame.

I thought he might have meant the arrows (?) which is the only difference in that area.

Now Stel tells me (indirectly) that she already knew how hard it was…

wasn’t I supposed to find all nine either?

Cos I did! But barely.

There were at least two I thought were more than usually “sneaky”, in your parlance.

Waiting to see who else did.

Hi Cleophiles and all my Puzzle People…

Sorry I’m a little late… though I’m not, by GoComics time.

We’ve all been spoiled by dawn coming so early on Cleo and Company.

It’s Saturday morning here when it’s only 6pm the night before, on California time…. often long before I’ve even thought about Friday’s dinner.

Anyway… I’m still having trouble with my computer going online, and so far my attempts to get help have come to naught.

For a couple of weeks I’ve been doing all my comics posts, including this one on a tablet.

Tonight’s for the first time, my solution looks a little casual…

But the differences are all there!

Give it your best shot…. And then

Compare HERE!

comment image

Just to explain: I can search, comment, copy and paste, even upload pictures, on my tablet.. But I don’t have Paint, the Windows program I use to make the “square circles” around the differences.

Every time, I’ve found a way to get puzzle onto my computer and then the Paint image to the tablet, for uploading to PostImage… but it takes extra time, and today I had some interruptions.

By next week I hope to be back on the computer. Maybe.

Um, thanks, but whoa…. I’m not sure I’ve ever owned a computer that lasted long enough to need the CMOS battery replaced.

They’re usually good for at least 5 years in a desktop thats turned off at night.

This is a small laptop that’s only about 18 months old, and rarely unplugged.

While I do shut down every night and reboot the next day, modern laptops don’t turn all the way off, so that little battery is probably always topped off.

Plus I wouldn’t open a laptop to look at something on the motherboard. Way beyond my level

…..

Anyway… If I’m understanding it correctly, I’ve never seen any apparent BIOS problems; it boots in moments, recognizes software, and retains all its info.

It doesn’t disconnect from the WiFi, either… It selectively does certain things online, but won’t open web pages.

I’m no techie, but I don’t see any connection to the BIOS in that behavior.

If anybody here knows something I’m not getting…

Yes… I said it all a few days ago.. hate to bore everybody…

But I use Firefox, so I tried Edge and Chrome.

That’s all I’ve downloaded on this computer but it should be enough for a test.

I’ve tried one open window at a time, instead of my usual bunch of open tabs…

I’ve tried turning off other devices, resetting my modem, reconnecting, all kinds of stuff.

The tablets share the WiFi connection.

They won’t go online either, unless the computer is off. That is strange.

I said back then that I think the problem has to do with the McAfee antivirus that came pre-installed on this laptop.

It sounds crazy but so is that software.

I didn’t want it, but instead of uninstalling it, I let it run for its free 1 year trial period.

It hassled me to subscribe for months after it supposedly expired, but still worked

When it finally let go, and windows defender took over, I started having these problems.

I got free phone help with the computer, so I called….

The first tech agreed with me, and was going to run a remote scan… But we got disconnected.

The next two were useless.

I have to try again but it’s exasperating.

FYI, My computer guru tells me to unplug and just use the batter at least once a month to draw it down to under 10%, it’s supposed to make the battery last longer, just my 2 cents! P.S. I had to replace my battery a few moths ago and lap top was only 3 years old and I was not doing as I just suggested, I am now!

Thanks… But you get different information everywhere!

First, I believe you’re talking about the battery that powers the computer.

The discussion above was about the CMOS battery… a little disc on the motherboard that holds very basic information about the computer, even when there’s no power to it.

As for the main battery…. My last computer was also a small laptop… an Acer.

Their tech told me leaving it plugged in made no difference in terms of years of life…
but might shorten how long it could run when unplugged.

She told me not to drain it, but remove the battery pack when it was going to be on a/c for days.

I did occasionally, but usually forgot, and it was fine till the computer itself died… after eight years!

But anecdotal evidence on one computer isn’t worth much.

The battery in my current computer isn’t removable.

the actual change is
The right panel is extended leftward. This exposes more leg and more wing. You can see the knob is closer to the panel edge in the original (left) pane too.

left side of the panel controversy:
That’s all my fault — I wasn’t as careful in cutting the panels to match, but that wasn’t meant as a difference. The different color of the arrows. is the only difference in that area!!
