I wonder what “futuristic” METROCOLOR is.

Got it! 😮
That’s what i got.

Everyone thinks they’re a star.
Photobomb at nine ‘o clock!
When I was a little kid, we had a record album of Pete Seeger singing for kids. I think it had originally been bought for my older sibs and filtered down to me. It was definitely a family favorite.
Springtime in Cleveland – coming soon!
Aaaaah – the movie with that canine lady famous for being in the tutti-kibble hat! OK; that was for The Pack’s All Here, but still…
Oh boy!
“Springtime in Cleveland!”
And just in time for what might be a small hint of Spring weather, here in N. Ca.
What a cast!
Betty Kibble…. with her purplie eye shadow, her pearls…. and of course, her famous million-dollar legs…
they may be short but they’re the shapely stuff of basset-sailor dreams.
Johnny Paws… never achieved the lasting fame he deserved….. but a singing and dancing dreamboat in his day….
even next to the silky-smooth Little Cesar Romero!
….
Carmen Grranda.. wow… how did she dance so well, to that fast Latin beat, while holding up that amazing tower of kibble and Milk Bones on her hat?
And Charlotte Dogbone! An old favorite of mine…. tall and thin for a basset, she could kick her little legs straight up in the air.
And many more…. a real, old-style Howlywood extravaganza!
You may already know that the humans had a version as well.
Of course they wanted to use sparkling, sophisticated Cleveland as the setting… I mean, who wouldn’t?
But the basset movie was big at the box office, and images of Cleveland brought that handsome breed to mind.
So they called it “Springtime in the Rockies* just to show that they didn’t need a glamorous background.
Then they used some blonde human woman as the star even though she just didn’t fill out a gown like Betty Kibble
And of course, none of the humans had long, soft ears.
’59 Cadillac
Happy Pi Day!
my fav by far
That’s why I posted it.
And the blueberry ones for StelBel…
