That was some party yesterday!.

But now it’s back to the same old plod (I couldn’t resist that).  &nbspcomment image

nighthawks,  are you having any success in solving the font colour or background colour problems yet?

I have changed most of the font colours locally (see below), but it doesn’t stick, even on my own computer    🙁    (which is a good thing for site security I guess)    🙂 .

I can also change the “Howdy” bar’s colour and the big Incredible Hulkish green footer bar’s colour too;  not to mention I changed a good portion of the lettering down there;  And I finally found the colour changer for the comment background (there’s something blocking me from getting it to pure white though (the closest I’ve come is tighty-whities washed in hard water for six months or so).

I’m guessing there’s got to be a glitch in the programming from WordPress if you don’t have a   “yes-I-want-to-do-this”   button,   link,   checkbox   ….whatever….

If possible, black text would be great. I like the current background (it’s soothing) but agree that the contrast could use a boost.

It seems crazy that a site offering blogs the the public would be so non-user-friendly…

I can’t understand forcing what might be casual users to learn programming just to accomplish simple, normal tasks… e.g. not offering black text as a default, and letting you easily opt out of formatting it, along with any changes you made.

In the days of proliferating amateur web page sites, like Angelfire and GeoCities, there were tons of easy templates and formatting tools.

Those sites couldn’t do.everything you need here..the pages were really simple…

But I expected them to grow more complicated in scope and easier to use… not dissolve back into users having to learn code.

Never mind him….

I tried looking some stuff up and kept running into “You need to be proficient in code to use WordPress.”

Maybe that only means I’m a dumbass, too… but I prefer to think not

and anyway the ol’ scalawag had better smile when he says that.

To Nighthawks: Part 13! The excitement mounts! “Oh, HECK yes!” (Padre! What language!!)

The artwork is great….very colorful, and I love the different perspective you use throughout!

The last panel is a real cliffhanger!

Don Doggo is soooo wide innocent. Unfortunately, I’ve seen other bassets with the same wide-eyed innocent look, even with the evidence staring us in the face. But those sad eyes… I cannot resist them, and my heart melts (slightly). However, I’ll wait until I can catch them in the act. Then, retribution will be swift! But, but, those sad eyes. Maybe I should be slightly lenient…this time….

¡Hola Cleomigos!

The adventure continues!

But today, Perro doesn’t even have to ride… cos trouble finds him!

Even in his guise as the somewhat cowardly Don Doggo… trouble seems to recognise him…

and it aims straight for his heart…. at the tip of a sword.

¡Ay,Dios mio! ¡Madre mia!

I agree, Stel… “heck” is a bit strong for a priest… but maybe he can claim innocence, not having a total command of English… or any.

When I was a kid I was allowed to say “darn” but not “heck.”

Why? Because they said so.
AFAIK, they are equal degrees from meaning anything at all.

And in Spanish, from what I’ve heard, even little kids say “Dios mio.”

Then again, today’s little kids here text OMG with no thought to its meaning. Dunno about a priest.

Meanwhile.. are we trusting the padre now?

He does seem ready to help our hero.

Will Perro’s secret be safe???

Don Doggo’s wrist looks a little … limp?

P.S. To @StillTheBelle – I was going to say My Favorite Part was heck but after you and @SusanMoonshine beat it to pieces I don’t see the point.

Good morning, Cleoites. Q Date: 367.98801.77

NATIONAL NAPPING DAY!

Woohoo! PERRO gets a visit. Only one thing missing. His lace handkerchief to pull out of his sleeve to wave in front of his face to stave off the vapors.

Thanks again for all of the birthday wishes, y’all. I’m gonna start my nap early today. (((((HUGS))))

I just checked mine and it’s one page, at least for now, and on my tablet.

What fresh horror do I have to look forward to?

As for our episode for the day….our hero, Don Doggo is portraying his excellent acting skills with his wide eyed innocent act. How sweet!

I also was going to mention that I found the ONE difference between the last three panels. The rug! Do I win a prize?

Seriously, I have to say that you are the expert at finding the perfect reply post, no matter how obscure it is!….”a free one-way bus ticket to Cleveland”! I never would have even guessed that a song existed that would mention The Cleveland Bus Tour prize!!!

Well done!

BTW, I am also a big fan of the Oxford comma. As the resident Pruf Reeder here at C&C Enterprises, Nighthawks and I have had some rather heated debates about comma usage.

Good think Don Doggo took those acting classes. Will he be able to fool Slurez’s Lancers?? Keep your fingers crossed. That sword looks sharp!

You had better stop and think about it! Think! Think about all the other musical talent in the movie, aside from Matt “Guitar” Murphy et al. Cab Calloway, James Brown, Chaka Khan, John Lee Hooker, Ray Charles & Joe Walsh.

Unfortunately, John Lee Hooker never made it on to the sound track, yet Raw Hide did among others.
