@ Anyone living with WordPress’s avatars who doesn’t want to:
I hope this helps.
These instructions are for P.C.s, but I’m reasonably sure Macs can’t be that much different in terms of the general steps.
Since you’re reading this you’re at cleoandcompany.net but you must have a WordPress account set up or none of this will work.
1.) Leaving cleoandcompany.net open go to “My Computer” and activate the “Downloads” icon.
(I always set cleo and the down load screen to side by side at this point so that step 4 is easier and pop the rest of the screens up and down from the taskbar as necessary)
2.) Go to your GoComics profile.
3.) Right click on your avatar and select “Search Google for image.”
4.) Left click and hold it on whichever version of your image you like, and drag it to your activated download screen.
(When it’s there in will show as “unnamed” or possibly “download” which is okay, but as a suggestion rename it to something meaningful; for purposes of these instructions file-x is used.)
5.) Turn your attention back to cleoandcompany.net and look up and right to the “Howdy, your name here (avatar)” and left click on it to bring up your profile screen.
6.) Scroll down to the Avatar heading.
7.) Left click on the Choose File No file chosen option which, all being well, will bring up your download screen.
8.) Left click on file-x. Again, all being well your download screen will close and you will now have Choose File file-x showing on your screen.
9.) You must now choose a rating for your avatar by clicking on an option or all your work to now is wasted. A coloured ring will appear around your choice once made.
10.) The last step is to click on the “Update Profile” box. There will be a short delay, the screen will jump to the top with a message saying, we hope, “Profile updated.” or if WordPress programming didn’t like it “Avatar upload failed.” in the message box.
You will definitely get “Avatar upload failed.” if you’re trying to use an animation.
If I haven’t made anything clear enough, either tell me to “get stuffed” or make it clearer.
Now that we can post pictures in the comment section, from now on I will post the original movie poster in a size that won’t compete with my version above.
I’m glad you enjoyed Terry O’Reilly’s movie poster broadcast. As I’ve said before his show is one of my favourites on CBC radio. As for today’s poster: You have once again done a beautiful job of bringing the real movie to the attention of us humans. Tina Turnbasset’s performance and the well staged fights (I never could quite figure out what the fights were about but they were well staged) were the best parts of the show. “Mad Max” movie: Plot? We don’t need no stinking plot!
Thank you!! I really did like those “Mad Max” movies, and especially “Beyond the Thunderdome”! Tina’s casting in that movie was inspired! One of my nicknames for Max is, of course, “Mad Max”!
That’s right! I was puzzled when he started to strut around here like he owned the place, forgetting that his Howlywood star is steadily on the rise! C&C Productions is grateful that, being a star of such stature, he still agreed to wear the “Hello, Kitty” suit….especially since it is well known how he feels about kitties. We had to promise him bigger starring roles.
Max says: Aw….gee….thanks, Aunty Susan! And, thanks for starting (and being president of) my OFFICIAL MAX GIROUARD FAN CLUB !!! Oh, and also, thanks for being the best Howlywood agent in the business!
Stel says: Sorry, Susan…your secret is out now!

I remember this poster and its hero. And like others, I remember Tina Turnbasset because, as in all her performances on film, she is so unforgettable.

Too much cuteness. Must hug a puppy. Said no one about the original movie. But this Stel-lar poster with the super pup Max is dripping with it. OMD, where’s the standing ovation emoji?
Y’all keep an eye out for flying pies. (((((HUGS))))))
What a delightful poster, StelBel. And we get to see Max Gioruard in his co-starring role as Mad Max. Congratulations on getting this role next to the queen of purplie eyeliddiness.
Thanks so much, ML!! He’s looking at more scripts now, so fingers (and paws) crossed, another good role will come his way. It helps to have an “in” with C&C Productions!
(yes, he is a cutie, and, boy!…..does he know it! Hard to believe that he just turned 10! He’s keeping his puppyhood good looks and with no assistance from the Howlywood plastic surgery community!)

Good evening, Alexi!
Just to let you and everyone else know, we’ve also posted instructions on the home page under the title “NOTE”.

Congratulations to Max! He had a twofer this week.
He had a cameo in Saturday’s Non Solution Solution and starred in today’s C&C.
Way to go Max!

(Max says: “Apologies to Perkycat!”)
No apologies necessary. Dogs are such…..well, dogs!
Well said, PC!
Where there’s a will, there’s a way….
You and Nighty are having fun posting extraneous material! I like it!.
Max Girouard is one determined little pup. Not distracted by that purply eyed seductress behind him!
It brings back memories of the ol’ days on GC, before they took away the picture posting functions.
Thanks (on behalf of Max and me)!! He is the consummate actor!
Napping was never so easy.
Indeed! Who knew that all anybody needed was a NapApp!
Nepotism! I cry nepotism!
Then again… If your mom is not only a world famous poster artist, but works at a top movie studio…..
and YOU just happen to be the cutest little terrier in the world…
And you have a face that nobody can resist…
Aww… Maxie… WHO’S a coot widdew puppydog? … is OOO a coot widdew puppydog?
Um…. I mean, er… how do you NOT end up starring in a movie, and featuring on the poster?
Does Maxie want a tweat?
Goob boy, Max.
Funny.

How true! She’s one of the very best!

One of my favorite movies, and the best scene in it!
The Great Race!
this scene was from the greatest pie fight sequence in cinematic history.
by far…..It was accompanied by a rousing Henry Mancini Polka
Us Pollacks recognize a great Polka when we hear it. Pie in the Face Polka is more fun!
Gee, yes! Where IS the standing ovation emoji? LOL
Thanks, OPP!!
I resemble that nap.
Me, too!
Stel’s favorite
Yes, but
So, then…..you suggest coordinating your outfit with whatever fruit pie is within throwing distance? Good advice!
But, I have to say that I could NEVER throw away a good blueberry pie! LOL
You rat!! 2 days in a row! I am so close to buying a blueberry pie today (AFTER I go to the dentist, though!) !!
Stop by my bakery on the way home… I’ll have one ready for you…
Since you’re going to the dentist, I’ll remove all the sugar and replace it with XTI no-calorie virtual sugar….
You won’t notice the difference, I promise.
Thank you, thank you! Best. Pie. Ever. And, guilt-free, as well! You’re the best!!

AHEEEEE!
Hey! I get to be the First at something!!!
WooHoo!

FYI!
If you haven’t clicked on the “click here for fast internet connection” button at the top of the comments, I highly recommend that you do!
I can’t believe the lightning speed now!
We get fax spam every other day. No fax here, but the sound.
Apropos of nothing. https://youtu.be/tY-wsyZWoE4
I lost the internet last night not long after my first comment.
SOoo grateful for that lightning-fast connection on this page.
