Interesting….

The young woman in the portrait

I recognize as
actress Vivien Leigh

I thought this was a photograph of her as an older woman, along with a portrait of her younger self…

But….
I knew Vivien died relatively young, though I wasn’t sure at what age.

According to what I found online, she passed at 53….

This woman, who looks older than that, is said to be her mother, Gertrude Mary Frances Hartley (née Yackjee).

I don’t know for sure, but have no real reason to doubt it.

Racing the train has always been a bad idea.

I’d say they lost. If there is a “cow catcher” or coupler on the front of that train, then it is already making contact with the car.

The Fab Four never mentioned that!

I’m guessing they pre-dated this. Yellow Submarine is more than 50 years old.

Whoa… I was wrong about the child this time!

You probably know the adult… but in case you don’t…

he’s…
Jack Nicholson
.

Hmm, another case of too young and too old in the pictures. I’d have recognized him in other pictures, but not the ones presented. Thank you Susan for identifying him.

I thought that would be easy!

But….
His face is very recognizable, yet it changes a little for every role, plus, he acted over a wide range of his own ages, hairstyles, and weights

I had a hard time finding just one image that reflected what I considered the “real” Jack Nicholson.

From Five Easy Pieces, early in his career.

And his iconic role in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest…

It seems as though these are getting harder lately, but maybe it’s just my dotage catching up to me. My only guess, and it’s a reach, is

SPOILER?
Jack Nicholson?

Yet you were right.

If you got it from the childhood picture, great job.

I had to peek at the adult.

I always make my guesses from the childhood photo. I can’t, offhand, think of as much as a handful that I haven’t recognized as an adult.

Me too, but I wasn’t sure, cos some here treat the adult as a guessing game as well.

I’ll try to remember that you don’t.

This must be an imitation of that one where the basset hound is painting a self portrait.

Rockwell was such a copydog!
