The Shores of Spain would be a good name for a soap opera.

Are you sure that The Shores of Spain isn’t a pelicula already? If not, you can put your TM on it and claim it. Maybe set up a sequel with The Professor and Mary Ann (I’m afraid you’ll have to re-cast it).

Love the black & white. Welcome Home. That pole in the background is just too straight — it looks like a light pole — very welcoming! Looks like a home that we’d all enjoy going to if it was ours (or maybe if they were welcoming us in anyway).

I wonder if Mayor Asesinato just doesn’t have Capitan Slurez triple his guards? It would be interesting to see what Perro does to his nose and ears.

Perro seemingly has a policy that pollicies are exempt from procurement as punishment.

Personally I believe a probe into Asesinato’s statement of longing to see the shores of Spain would probably show it should be perceived as polony.

It looks like yours was a “reply to Dennis”… but Stel’s wasn’t.

Yours would show up not far under his, no matter how late you made it.

Ahead of it on the page would be any earlier replies to him… and nested replies to those replies…. but NOT all earlier comments

….

Stel’s post doesn’t say it was a reply to anybody…so it showed up on the bottom of the page, instead,

and was then the last comment in the list, though made earlier than yours.

The same order as on GoComics, but this page doesn’t indent enough for it to be very noticeable.

It also nests more levels of replies, and you don’t have to click to open each level as you’re scrolling…

so it’s much more confusing when checking for previous comments before you post.

I very much appreciate Susan explaining all that to you, and she was able to do it much sooner than I could have, as it now is 12 hours later.

(Just to let you know, your question could have been a bit softer in tone.)

Here we go again…
In the wrong place for me to read it before replying, and the right place IMO would have been as a reply to Alexi which I did (with a link to the video that I removed). #stalking
Haven’t you had problems with comments showing in the wrong place? That’s what I’d assumed here.

Any softer (how?), and my comment would have melted; my computer is too troublesome already without that.

So once again I do not see the “Howdy” in the corner. And though my avatar shows up after I post, I do not have my “Famed Member” label anymore. Any ideas out there? What did I do to offend the powers that be?

You might not be logged in. It seems every other day, I have to log in yet again!
If you’re properly logged in, the “howdy, Dennis” should show in the upper right corner.

What’s happened to your avatar?

First it went back to static, and now it does not appear next to your screen name.

Did it ever?

Look to see if there’s a place where you can log in AGAIN.

That’s what I tried to explain awhile back used to happen to me a lot.

I’d have my avatar, but instead of “you are logged in as Susan Sunshine” above the comments it would say “Please log in.”

That might not be it… But it was for me. I learned to check every time.

Also, I wouldn’t get the formatting tool bar in the comment box if I wasn’t properly logged in.

Meanwhile… I’ll be back shortly…..

A threat or a promise… You guys decide.

Actually so does mine now.

It’s quite possible that it always does….

and I just assumed EDT without doing the math.

Two hours ahead of me or three…

I only really paid attention to the fact that the times on the comments were identical…

not to figuring out exactly when we’d made them.

Oooh… mira, Cleomigos!

Perro… um… well, he must have ridden…right? Even if we didn’t see him ride?

Cos I doubt the hacienda of his father is within walking distance of the mayor’s residence….

especially if you’re going to threaten the mayor at sword-point and need to make a swift getaway.

So, if you don’t mind… let’s just say Perro rides!

And now he will send the mayor to Spain.

Which makes me wonder… is Mayor Asesinato a Spanish alcade… and are Slurez and his henchmen working for the Spanish crown?.

Or is Perro sending him to foreign shores, somewhere across the ocean,,,

Shores that he’s never seen…. but apparently has always longed for?

Good morning, Cleophans. Q Date: 381.98840.08 T – 16D 3H 43M

Mayor Asesinato caved pretty easily today.

Comcast is being a PITA still.

Y’all buy local cake today and thank a Nam vet (Heaven knows they didn’t get one back in the day.).

Hard to believe how they were treated. No matter what, they were brave soldiers fighting for our country and doing the job they trained for. No American soldier should be treated like that!

My friends made fun of me for liking the pop sound of Boy George and Culture Club back in the 80’s…

We listened to hip stuff like Elvis Costello, the Ramones and Devo and various local punk bands…

but I have always just liked whatever I like…

and I loved “Karma Chameleon”… and then this video when I saw it…

and I still do.

So there… (she said to nobody who cares any more.)
