If Perro ever had the wish to procure a partner, I would say this guy would be pointedly put on the proscribed list.
Warning to;
There is much mention of the “P” word.
(Sadly, I can’t find a version where you won’t have to put up with a commercial. None of my tricks work on this one.
You can, as always, right click on the link picture and open in a new window so you don’t lose this page.)
I remember watching Huckleberry Hound cartoons as a kid and enjoying them, but remembered nothing about him or his character. Not even his voice.
But this particular cartoon is certainly as timely as it ever was.

The next pulse-pounding episode of the Perro saga. Naturally, like all the others, this one ends with a cliffhanger. I now await each new Perro chapter with baited breath. The neighborhood cats are all over me, thank you very much.
To a German article about 31-3 — all being well, the Google translate box will be in the upper right, just click “English” — (something must be lost, because I still have no idea what it’s about.)

Steamed Clams
Scrub the shells and carefully wash free of sand in several waters. Place in a steamer or sieve over rapidly boiling water and cover closely. Steam until shells open. Remove one shell from each clam, and serve the clams very hot with melted butter, salt and pepper. Allow fifteen to twenty clams for each serving.
Dr. Bunsen Honeydewtakes his date (a Manatee) to the Proms in a Little Red Wagon – there, they enjoy taters, clams on the half shell (shades of “Alice in Wonderland”) – and someone takes their picture using crayons…
Hang in. My transplant people got my appointment. After my 1st shot, I started getting emails from the pharmacy and county sites I signed up on saying they had a slot for me. Walgreens, CVS, Meijer, Jewel-Osco and county
My sister in Victoria said about a week ago that her health plan.was still only vaccinating ages 85 and up… But she never mentioned another age grouping interfering.as she waits for her turn.
75 was the highest cutoff we had here… and some places were already accepting 65 and up for weeks before my HMO took anybody under 75, because all along, they’ve been shorted on vaccine.
…
California just started opening vaccination to people 16 and up with underlying conditions…
I think this week might be 50 and up, regardless of medical history…
But the truth is there is far less vaccine available then needed, so it’ll still be difficult for a while.
And here, we’re not allowed to “sign up”, as Plods mentioned… You get a slot, if one is available (usually not) but can’t leave your info on a waiting list.
…
Thanks! It’s a move to use up the AstraZenica vaccines. There’s a temporary halt on its use, but it’s still considered safe for those between 55 and 64 [why 64?]. Meanwhile the “countdown” for the other vaccines has stalled at 73 or older.
Just a thick paper vaccination “card” that they say is cardboard, but isn’t very sturdy…
Date-stamped and otherwise filled in by hand… that I’m supposed to carry around, but it will probably fall apart.
….
I’m wondering whether the flea market and vending machine guys who sell “permanent” aluminum social security cards are already tooling up to make facsimile vaccination cards too….
even though social security has put out disclaimers for years, saying those aluminum cards are considered fake, and are not official documents, because the government didn’t issue them.
It’s like somebody making and selling aluminum copies of postage stamps, and promising that you can mail a letter with them.
I, for one, am hoping to see a long drawn-out battle. Maybe with lots of theatrics by Perro. It would let NightHawks show off his skills as an artist while prolonging the storyline. After all, the human version lasted for quite a few episodes (although fewer than I would have liked).
??? Perro on a Tuesday? I’m first to comment? Did I fall into some sort of alternate reality?
No, you’ve just gone back to the future.
Apparently you merely fell into some sort of alternate CALENDAR…
On mine, it’s already been Tuesday all day long…
And we had Stel’s “Bassettown” poster for today.
…
But tomorrow comes early in Cleo’s part of Cleveland…
Not having to wait for midnight in Kansas City, ala GoComics, we usually get the next day’s strip by 10pm Eastern time…
(Which is only 7pm for me on the west coast, so I don’t always show up till later.)
…..
So you see… either your calendar is wrong… or when you weren’t looking, the page changed, and WEDNESDAY’S “Cleo” arrived….
For March 31st, as it says on top.
Mad Cow?

If you would quit baiting your breath, you could abate them.
Oooh…Cleomigos! Y Cleomigas tambien, por supuesto….
Yesterday… Perro rode!
Today… he didn’t have to, cos he was already there.
After all, he can’t ride every day…
But what a day this one is shaping up to be…
And that shape kinda resembles the letter “P”
…
He already had a “consultation ” with the mayor.. according to our unseen narrator.
Time for a another consultation…. with El Comandante Slurez.
Too bad he’s not a consul…. I really wanted to type “a consultation with el Consul.”
Oh well.
…
As long as he makes his point, as a consultant…
and I have faith that his sword will do just that.

Really cool!!
Love it!!
Today here in Germany is “Donaldisten-Tag” (“Donaldism-day”); based on Donald Duck’s license-plate (313) – 31st of March.
Interesting. The things one learns in the comics.
There are some strange celebrations on this planet of ours.

If there was a similar day in the USA, would a duck pie be the pick of the day after?

I prefer deep fried, but steamers are ok by me.
We were served a clam that hadn’t opened within a sort of a boullibasse. Sent that one back, but the rest of the meal was OK.

Let’s all go to the PROM today!!! We’ll have a Cleo & Co. party……..
In honor of Bunsen burner day…
That’s not a manatee!
🤣
Definitely a thumbs up for that!
Sigh! Sometimes I think I’m gonna be the last person on the planet to get his COVID shot…

JP has a bit of a problem, he’s in Canada (I’ve forgotten which province if he mentioned it). They’re trying, but it’s a bit of a different system.
BC. We’re trying but there are still some bumps in the road. Right now I can get shot if I’m over 73 or under 65. I’m in the “sweet spot” at 71…
Why is there a gap?
My sister in Victoria said about a week ago that her health plan.was still only vaccinating ages 85 and up… But she never mentioned another age grouping interfering.as she waits for her turn.

We’ve started doing better than BC though.
Distribution should be far more equitable!
Good luck… And stay careful.
Ohio opened up to 16 and over last week

Certainly not. (sigh)
Hey, no fair.
I din’t get no stinkin’ sticker.
Just a thick paper vaccination “card” that they say is cardboard, but isn’t very sturdy…
Date-stamped and otherwise filled in by hand… that I’m supposed to carry around, but it will probably fall apart.

We had ours laminated to protect them from being crumpled, frayed and damaged beyond legibility.
I’ve heard that Staples or Office Max/Depot will laminate them for free. Wait until after your 2nd one so it’s complete.
I got mine a bit earlier (I’m 62) since I work in a medical office.
My wife pointed out that while we didn’t get stickers, we did get Tweety Bird Band-Aids.
Lucky! I just got a sticker – and it wasn’t as pretty as Plods.
Good morning Balladeers, (((((Plods))))) and Miss Susan!
I thought for sure that Perro was going to slide down the chimney to have his confrontation with the Mayor!
HO! HO! HO!
And a bottle of rum.
Pretty sure Santa doesn’t drink…
I really enjoy coming back to C&C during the course of the day and seeing all of your pictures and videos. You are ALL so creative.
Can’t wait to see who survives this mayhem. Two superior swordsmen going sword to sword.
Do you really think NightHawks would allow Perro to lose??? To end up with a backwards Z on his posterior?
Let’s hope that Perro gives him a nice April Fools Day gift of slicing his backside to the point where he can’t sit down anymore.
I, for one, am hoping to see a long drawn-out battle. Maybe with lots of theatrics by Perro. It would let NightHawks show off his skills as an artist while prolonging the storyline. After all, the human version lasted for quite a few episodes (although fewer than I would have liked).
