I mean, of course they’re not moving… It’s a still picture. But neither is in a posture that suggests they were caught in motion.
In fact, she looks like someone from a model train layout, with that old-fashioned suitcase and coat; though, standing still with her feet together, I think she’d need a bit of a base.
I think the stillness tells a story.
Is she leaving him, stopping to take one last questioning look back?
Or coming back, to an uncertain future?
Neither looks overjoyed..
