I’m glad you found that—the one I posted has pretty bad resolution and I didn’t see another anywhere. Like Happy, this 8 minute Popeye cartoon

I’m a little late, well, by Cleo standards… Still early by my old GoComics internal clock.
I’d say this puzzle is a little harder than some… Though by no means impossible…
But luckily, I don’t hear any agonized complaining. LOL
…
I did find them all… It’s just that a couple are pretty subtle… One, in fact, is so subtly different, I wasn’t sure I should believe it’s a difference.
But different is different… so if it’s different, it’s a difference.
Right?
…
When I circled (squared?) the differences, I used another color on that one…
This is not official, just my own opinion…
But I think of you found the other 8 and missed that one, or you’re using my solution to make sure it’s actually different there… You should give yourself a break.
8 isn’t so bad on this one. Not that any score is ever bad…
Once again… This isn’t a contest. Nobody is keeping score.
I found six, then I cheated by copying the pictures and superimposing one over the other with one of them 50% transparent. Then I found the other three.
I took a look after snipping and saving in my pictures folder. I got two on the first pass and said “No more.” Susan:
The one you’re unsure about (not one of my two) is indeed a difference. It only becomes obvious when it’s pointed out.
I found a mere six, one of which is NOT among Susan’s nine. Missed two easy ones – pathetic – and still can’t see one that Susan has marked. Plus, Susan has one very subtle diff that I can easily forgive myself for not spotting.
The things one learns.
Horst Jankowski is the composer of “Eine Schwarzwaldfahrt” ( translated as: “A Walk in the Black Forest”); released in 1965.
The composer always plays the music best.
He passed away in 1998 (of lung cancer by Wikipedia).
I always liked this instrumental — I remember calling into our local armed forces radio station in Iraklion, Crete requesting that they play this song…..another song I used to
call in for was an instrumental played by Lawrence Welk, of all people;
“Scarlet O’Hara”
This fits with nothing, but I came across it while digging around for more on the song “Scarlett O’hara (written by Jerry Lordan of “The Shadows”).”
The build-up is hokey, but the singing is real.
I hope you like it.
, some of the (admittedly ugly) political cartooning which is included may interest you.
This one ‽ ‽ “ The Six Day Race: The Story of Marshall ‘Major’ Taylor ” I got about 2 minutes in and could no longer take the — “Old Major? He was a good _______.” — tone (I could be misinterpreting, but I’d ask you for your reasons you think I am).
.
“The Last UniBasset”.
,
BUNNY RABBIT !!!
That’s Mr. Bunny, to you!
And Mr. Moose.
Where’s the Captain?
‘The Bambino’
One of me favorites!
So by the song, Popeye is 40 years old.
His voice, in a different register of course, is also that of Felix the Cat.
This is a clearer version.

g’night
I shouldn’t have had that 2nd glass of wine, I’ll look for the rest tomorrow.
Okay. A new set of eyes this morning got me only one more for a total of only eight. It was a challenge! Just proves the ole brain is still working.
I thought I’d hear screaming, when I walked in.

Have fun!

If that is what it takes, I don’t think it is a good puzzle.
I think it’s a good puzzle. It’s challenging, but definitely doable.
It’s a great ‘brain game’!
I did it, and so did Stel…
I checked with her before posting, and our answers were exactly the same.
I think Tigressy must have found all nine, if she thought she found ten.
And JP Steve posted that he did too.
So, like Stel, I’d say it was hard, but not impossible.
…
If they’re always easy, some people want more of a challenge.
Some don’t. Some want easy ones even if they COULD solve hard ones. Different fun for different folks.
There’s no judgement.
…
If some solvers want to do what Mr. Sherman did, or make a gif… or whatever…
That’s fine.
They’re only changing the level of challenge they choose to accept for themselves…. Maybe for one night, maybe always.
There are no scores, so whatever is ok with the person solving it is ok….
Even if he calls it “cheating”, himself….
And I wouldn’t consider myself to have “solved” it, had I made a gif.
…
Nighthawks is a good artist and cartoonist…
Who kindly makes these puzzles cos we enjoy them.
In that case, I’ll get some coffee first.
And feed the cat that she stops complaining.
See ya in a few.
OK – I think I’ve got them all. Checking…
Looking good, but
And another
Which is a curcled puzzle difference because it’s italicized in the first panel, but not in the second.
Just in case anybody was going to point that out.
and of course today I can the difference and yesterday I could not, sheesh, and of course I missed an easy one, hmm!
I took a look after snipping and saving in my pictures folder. I got two on the first pass and said “No more.”
Susan:

I didn’t say i was still unsure; sorry if it sounds that way.
I meant that when I first saw it, i wasn’t sure whether the two panels were actually different in that spot.
Once I realised it wasn’t a trick of my eyes, it was obviously a difference, subtle or not.
Things can’t be a little different but not “a difference.”
…
Plus, as the official solution poster, if I’m uncertain, I check with the powers that be…
I try not to give you pure guesswork.
Though of course, the day could come, or maybe it has… I think when there were 10… that I was confident enough not to check, but wrong.
the only power I’ve got is to simply be.
Strangely enough, I got that one and missed an easy one!
I found a mere six, one of which is NOT among Susan’s nine. Missed two easy ones – pathetic – and still can’t see one that Susan has marked. Plus, Susan has one very subtle diff that I can easily forgive myself for not spotting.
You still have problems with making a spoiler?
I’d love to see the one that’s not among my nine.
6 🙁
Seven before walkies. I’ll see what I can do when I get back…
ALL NINE! Whoo Hoo!
I got 8. I thought the one you did in red was one and then rejected it. Oh, well. Love the names Batbasset and Sparrow!
Yeah, I almost did too… That’s why I said I thought eight was ok if you did that.
I did bad. 🙁
The one you found difficult was the first one I got!
But since I DID see it a little, I decided I had to accept it…. Cos a little different is still different.
you did hear screaming.—that was me from yesterday when Stel said the ‘P’ word
