You do know that humans tried to copy this great basset commercial?
But they didn’t have a basset hound, only a human man, so how could he possibly be that interesting? It’s not like roses sniff him.
I guess that’s why their commercials are for beer… Trying to add a little excitement.
I love that Dos Alpos is literally two bags of Alpo.
And the filmstrip at the end… It even has a reflection!
BTW… I’ve read that Johnathan Goldsmith, the actor from the human version, recently came back, after a 10-year hiatus, to film some new commercials. They had tried to replace him with another actor, but it didn’t last long. Apparently he was less interesting.
Goldsmith is now in his mid 80s. I’m glad that at least one advertiser is willing to bet on potential customers finding a person interesting who isn’t under 30!
Yay for Dos Equis! Even if they did copy the bassets.
You guys from outside the US… did any of you see the originals?
That’s way smaller than I thought, looking at the picture.
Just over 3 feet tall would be including the strings… So the top figure is about 2 feet tall, cos it looks about as tall as it is wide… And the little puppet less than a foot.
hope alll can see the animation. I had to use the inconsistent site because WordPress again, said no.
Just in case…
I can see both of them! Woo hoo!
I see both too.
I’m confused, but I see both.
(Confused because I thought IBB stopped doing gifs, AND because I thought you had to do a direct upload and couldn’t use links up there.)

My world. Neighbors aren’t quite that close, and my yard isn’t nearly as well landscaped, but they sure got my lazy neighbor’s right.
I didn’t know you were my neighbor…
Whew… I thought that was my house.

Hey, buddy! You got something stuck in your teeth.

When the camouflage is right, it’s right.
A few years back, regular green and khaki camouflage prints were very popular, like on tshirts and jackets. In the city, at the store, etc.
I like to tease little kids wearing camouflage clothes, by telling them I can’t see them.
And not long ago I told a young fellow at the Grocery Outlet that his camouflage army type jacket wasn’t working.
He looked puzzled… So I said the print should be shelves of cans. Soup and beans and tomatoes.
alligator and crocodile
I’ll take bunnies, thanks…
See ya later, alligator…
After awhile, crocodile..
Nothing personal, you understand… or maybe you don’t…. no matter; just don’t follow me.

Well…it looks better than some of my projects…

Had I only known in time, I would have bought some, to help celebrate.
I really hate not keeping abreast of my civic duty.
