Is anything alive there?

Hmmm. Probably someone driving the train. Maybe it even has a few passengers.

I thought it must be the Chicago El….

But Google says (And Google usually knows) … that it’s the 3rd Street El, in New York City, ca 1952

And this is a stop, where you can board or get off from that wooden platform.

Probably looks deserted cos if your windows were a few feet from the train, you’d keep them closed and curtained too!

No… I just know how to look for it.

In this case, I really did think that looked like Sean Connery… I don’t even know why!

Then when Happy³ said it was an Aston Martin, that clinched it.

With that much info in hand, you can find more.

Brrrr.

I’m ready for warm images.

We don’t even get snow and slush here, but I get cold enough just looking at this.

Truly.
It’s also what you’re used to.

In Ohio and Wisconsin, growing up, a 35° day was a sign of spring. Warm enough to throw off your winter jacket.

In between, we lived in Libya, and shivered at 50…

Which I do now, after spending all my adult life in California.

So your signs of spring are different from mine.

I’ve wondered if I could ever acclimatize again, if I moved somewhere with real winters.

Probably. I hope so. Maybe not.

But adaptability is what made humans able to survive and take over the planet (sometimes to a detrimental degree.)

Agree with what you said, about it being what you are used to.
When we ran the Day Home, we would find, in the summer, that +6C was too cool to take the kids out to the play area. Yet, during the last throes of winter, as spring was coming, that same +6C was all we needed to enjoy our great outdoors once again, comfortably.
Yep. All in perpective.

And it was ridiculous.

The line on the bus between the “whites” in front and “colored” in back was flexible, as long as they didn’t need more rows for the “whites”.

Ms. Parks was the only person in a crosswise row of seats, which made it the first row of the “colored” section.

A white woman wanted to sit in one of the empty seats, but they couldn’t sit in the same row, so the driver asked Ms. Parks to move farther back, even though there was plenty of room.

She knew that the law said nobody already sitting should be moved, but they usually ignored that.

So she refused, knowing she’d probably be arrested. And she was.

Maybe this has the same author as the not-so-hidden avocado pit puzzle.

It’s like a baby thinking peek-a-boo is hiding, or Superman thinking a pair of glasses is a disguise.

You’d better keep an eye out for hawks and snakes, little toad. If we can all see you, so can they!

It’s not hiding, so it must like making friends with sheep.

I doubt it’s lonely, unless sheep won’t talk to goats.

I doubt it… sheep aren’t all that bright. They probably don’t even notice.

We have both goats and sheep. The goats are constantly trying to entice the sheep to rebellion, but the sheep can’t be bothered. It’s fun to watch.

You don’t need an expensive plane and guided bomb anymore. The Ukraine army is doing wonders with drones and anti tank mines. Seems they will blow up a tank from above as well as below.

Love the artwork and the perspective in this animation!

I’m talking about the perspective in the drawing, of course….

Not Cleo’s perspective. We already know that her perspective includes the use of as many weapons as possible to accomplish every task.

In fact, this water balloon drone is a very mild means of attack on the EWC. Water isn’t fatal.

Probably just an amusing game for her, or maybe drone practice, till she learns precise guidance for the real WMDs.

BTW… is that an actual camera screen on her controller? It must be… otherwise how could she know the strike was incomplete?

Pretty fancy. Then again, nothing but the best for our basset diva.
