Hey, that kid turned out to be a really nice guy, or so I’m told.

Unlike most Hollywood kids, he walked away, and went to a college near where I live, and while he did have a bit of a wild period in the 70s, ended up selling real estate in a small town about 10 miles from here.

He’s retired from that and has also done a few roles in movies from time to time, but I think he still lives around here.

He wrote an autobiography about 10 or 15 years ago; a friend of mine met him at a book signing.

He called it “Timmy’s in the Well”…. a joke cos he had no idea where that came from.

Timmy was rescued by Lassie week after week but never from a well. He loves all the jokes though.

He said he got a lot of acting jobs because he was small and looked young… It’s an advantage to be older and more experienced than the little kid you’re playing.

In fact, he’s still 5’4” as an adult.

Same with Burt Ward – and if you ever get the chance to watch “Return to the Batcave: The Misadventures of Adam and Burt” https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0321359/ – it’s an eye-opener. Imagine a fully developed man in tights impersonating a teenager… Let’s just say his cape came in handy many times. Operation and medication were suggested…

A very good adult height. Perhaps the perfect height.

I take it you’re not super tall yourself?
LOL

Actually height has never mattered to me…

I understand why people might like a certain height or weight in a model or an actor, or even be attracted to it in a partner, along with hair, eye even skin color, but truthfully, none of those has never seemed like any kind of deal breaker.

If I’d thought that saying someone was 5’4 was a criticism I wouldn’t have mentioned it.

Well,

SPOILER?
Aside from the clocks being inconsistent, I have no idea what those speech-balloon type things are, extending from the smokestack.

We have them on the coast. It’s a wind-vain device that makes sure that the wind can’t blow down the chimney. And smoke with it.

Inconsistent clocks are not unusual, so I don’t think that counts.

Those towers had the same mechanism to run all of the clocks on its faces in order to keep all of the clocks at the same time. If any one clock face was off, it meant there was something wrong with that particular face.

Normally I don’t post spoilers, but since you guys have already “spoiled” that difference…

The idea of the puzzle is to find something that differs from reality, something that couldn’t be happening, but the artist drew it “wrong.”

I’m guessing that because they’re mirror images, the puzzle artist meant for the clocks to be the “fault” in this drawing.

He didn’t realize that to most people, he’s actually just portraying a broken clock, and not making a purposeful “mistake” for us to find.

By this     SITE’S     2018 posting they are still available (having put in a few zip codes, I’m dubious / all stores listed are not anywhere close to main stream and I don’t think they would support the manufacturing costs).

Cost plus/world market sold or maybe sells them, too.

Kind of expensive, and I don’t chew gum any more, so I didn’t try them.

I can’t get warm this winter.
I have the thermostat set at a safe comfortable temp for the birds so it’s not the temperature alone. And forget going out. Not unless i must.
I’m just COLD. 🙁

He’s not the dumb one here. She is for not wanting that nice warm coat.

I’m with you Happy! This has been an unusually cold winter with that Arctic Blast. Even when the temperature is above freezing outside, we usually have a freezing wind. So thankful my heater kept working through it all!
My son lives in southern Oregon and he has several inches of snow right now with more on the way ~ unusual for them.
Hope you are OK ~ keep us posted.

Remember, we’ve been a good ten degrees colder than usual both day and night. This does have an effect on how warm the house itself is, not just the air temperature. We would be a lot colder if it wasn’t for our wood stove, which does a better job of warming the walls than the heat pump does.

One of the weirder animals you have drawn our attention to.

Everybody, including me, wants to tell Cleo it’s OK, cos she looks so cute in it.

But we need to realise…. to a bazooka-totin’, flamethrower-wieldin’, bad-@$$ daughter-of-a-mama-dog, “cute” is NOT a compliment.

Melt chosen amount of chocolate; add butter and sugar to taste, stir; stir in peanuts and either cool in a single layer and break apart or drop consistent measures onto a cookie sheet and let cool.
It’s also broccoli and bell pepper month.

You don’t blanch or parboil Asian vegetables!

The whole point is to stir fry them, keeping them green and crispy, when cooked just enough.

Nor do you use olive oil in Asian food, or cook with sesame oil (it’s for finishing).

And what is two teaspoons of teriyaki sauce supposed to do for 9 cups of other ingredients?

I don’t care if that guy calls himself a chef or not.

Not everyone in Asia stir fries vegetables.
Blanching is quite common then.
A mixture of toasted sesame oil and other vegetable oils is often used for frying. I wouldn’t use olive oil there myself, but it’s not that unusual nowadays.
And the amount of teriyaki sauce isn’t overwhelming the mild taste of the other ingredients…
The recipe looks more Korean to me than Chinese.

I got curious.
It’s two comments per minute regardless of being three different comics.
Remember the old warning was, if I’m remembering correctly, 10 seconds?
Is this part of the next big revamp of GoComics coming this fall?

Always around here. Below freezing and when we drive by the schools, there are always kids in shorts. In the grocery store, you can always find a man in shorts and a t-shirt …. I’m bundled up like Cleo! And yes, she does look quite cute!
