I should have remembered that was one of Terry’s.

I totally miss his “strip” on GoComics.

I’m told he decided not to publish his work in the comics any more.

And to think some one went to that jungle and got all this on tape!

I’ve seen a few clips.

Awwwww…………..a nice song from Willie Nelson to sing us all to sleep. Aboout 5 years ago he gave a concert here in Montana, where he literally gave away free tickets. Sadly, we were not one of the lucky ones.

Me neither, but Willie is one I love to listen too. With all the Cowboy bars up here, we’re bound to hear him. Especially at our favorite chicken dinner place.

Either I’m still missing one or there are two differences in one spot.
Either way not bad for bc (before coffee)…

Just in case anybody’s got the puzzle on his or her mind….

or is, perhaps, a side-by-side seeker…

I got a bit delayed tonight….

But here it is!

The horizontal version of today’s puzzle… just for YOU!:

Happy solving!

That mailman needs some spinach… STAT!

Someone should remind Cleo that mail-ordered items quite often come in… you know… the mail.

Don’t bite the hand that feeds you… and don’t punch the arm that delivers your drones and fancy chew toys.

Only found 5 before I looked at your side-by-side. Now I got them all ~ Thank You!
And you are right. Cleo should be nicer to the mailman. But, then I didn’t see any chew toys in that bag.

Sorry, but I have always hated “Georgy Girl.” The idea that this woman is a loser because she doesn’t shop enough, I mean, it’s gross.

And in the film we’re supposed to think beautiful young Lynn Redgrave is fat and unattractive…

after all, she wears her hair the wrong way.

Everybody makes bad choices with their lives.

I haven’t seen much discussion of the puzzle so far tonight….

But in case you’ve been wondering about the solution…

Wonder no more…

AFAIK… Here it is!

Egads! I really don’t like the animated solution compared to today’s version of Susan’s solution. I wonder if this is part of my Parkinson’s Plus problem I now have. I don’t have problems with Friday animations…..

I always liked Georgy Girl (I didn’t learn the “Seekers” were an Australian group until sometime in the late ’80s).

Getting curious today, I learn the song was co-written by Dionysius P. A. O’Brien (music)  —  brother of Mary Isobel Catherine Bernadette O’Brien – OBE  —  and Jim Dale (lyrics).

The O’Briens are better known by their professional names; Tom and Dusty Springfield.

Jim Dale was a regular of the “Carry On” film series but has earned many more credits in both stage and film.

Other than it falling, in 2021, on a Sunday, when some stores are closed, May 1st is not a public holiday here… what is being celebrated in Germany?

Also, California, with, alone, I think about half the population of Germany, has divided its counties into “tiers” depending on the level of virus transmission and cases.

Stores in mine were only closed for a few months last spring and summer, and most were allowed pickup and delivery during closure.

Grocery and some other stores deemed “essential” remained open the whole time, with limited hours and capacity.

They’re now unrestricted, but some retail categories are still allowed only limited capacity.

Comic book stores would be open, probably at 50%. capacity… but they’d be lucky to ever reach that anyway.

Masks are mandated indoors, and outdoors within 6 feet.

Until recently, restaurants were allowed only take-out and delivery, but indoor dining just resumed.

Movie theaters just reopened, too, but people seem reluctant to attend.

Bars are still closed indoors, in our tier, and most public gathering places like indoor concerts.

Some government and other offices are reopening.

Personally, I’ll go to stores, wearing a mask, and I suppose government offices if it were necessary, but none of those other places yet, not indoors, anyway.

And where Plods lives could have totally different rules.

In other news, I’m now fully vaccinated with the Pfizer-BioNTech version.

I actually got moved forward to last Saturday because of a good number of idiots (I’m equally sure there were some people who were legitimately prevented by circumstance and do not include them in “idiots”) who booked an appointment and didn’t show up; their loss, my gain. When I gave my opinion of them to the pharmacist giving me the shot he just sighed and shook his head.

Got ours a couple weeks ago. Hurray!

Our Farmers Market opened today for the spring season. We wore our masks (a martini print made by yours truly) just to keep others calm. The new manager hadn’t shared on postings whether they were still required. In Michigan, they are not required outdoors unless 6 feet distancing can’t be maintained. People were pretty good about that, but most shoppers (and all the vendors) were wearing theirs.

It was so nice seeing the vendors again – last full outdoor market was the weekend before Thanksgiving. There was a small indoor one (3 vendors only) between Thanksgiving and Christmas in a city-owned building.

Normally, it’s indoors from Nov 1 to May 1, but the school wouldn’t rent the indoor space – especially since the schools were closed. No risk of infecting students or teachers, but they didn’t want to deal with sending in janitorial staff to disinfect. Do not blame them in the least.

Our morning ones are open, but the one I go to, and where I helped out a tomato vendor for over 10 years, is going to be closed for the second year.

It’s by far the largest, held downtown on Wednesday evenings, mid May through August, with a several blocks of our main street closed off to cars.

It’s not just for produce, though that’s mostly what I go for..

There are booths selling prepared food from local restaurants and other purveyors, crafts, imports, services such as henna and massage… others from groups promoting local businesses and agencies.

Live music, sometimes street-corner jugglers or magicians, a beer and wine “garden”… Even pony rides or an inflated jump house for kids.

I miss it!
