I’m responding today, because I did not see your devastating announcement on Monday and learned of it only through your post yesterday.
I join all the others in wishing you well as you fight this thing.
Thanks for the web site, Alexi. All information is greatly appreciated! I’ve already had 2 different treatments, and neither one helped. I am starting Speech Therapy on Friday to work on my ability to be heard. (Although being quiet may be a good thing)
Have a really great time at the 500! Wish we were going, too. I can still make chicken and ‘tater salad and baked beans (with a little help) Thanks for your words of encouragement, O Great Leader! xoxo, Rita
Beach Boys’ Good Vibrations was my absolute favorite in 1966 (6th grade)! Every Friday, a bunch of us would go to a small luncheonette a block away from school for lunch. I could always be counted on playing this on the jukebox at least 5 or 7 times! Of course, I still LOVE it just as much!
Bad Boys: knew the song but never saw the video! Hmm…..interesting! hahaha
Jeff Gordon: I had seen this a while ago, and it still amazes me that he didn’t give the salesman a heart attack!
I’ve either seen a version of that Jeff Gordon video before, or one very similar to it.
The driving is real.
From a simple liability issue, not to mention all the cameras the salesman didn’t notice, the rest has to be acting (not very good acting, either).
Even the show “Mythbusters” admitted on air a few times there were things their insurance company refused to insure them for.
I can’t get your avatar picture’s address to post as any kind of picture it’s a link to what you post as the extras as near as I can tell.
You have another vote for the new comment format.
Now, can you once again get back your animated avatar?
I realize that you are very likely unaware of this, but there have been a high number of “no-no’s”, i.e. no-hitters thrown so far this baseball season, including two last week!
Our 6 yr. old grandson thinks we live on a farm because of all the visiting wild animals we have. So, Cleo, stop by our “farm” in Montana and have a great time…….
Somebody put chocolate in my nutty fudge…….oh well, I’ll live with it.

CHOCOLATE NUT FUDGE 1/4 cup FRY’S COCOA 3 cups sugar 3 tablespoons butter or margarine (use butter) 2 tablespoons corn syrup 3/4 cup milk (whole milk 3.25% milk fat) 3/4 teaspoon vanilla (real not artificial) 1/2 cup chopped nuts Measure cocoa, sugar, butter, corn syrup and milk into 2-quart saucepan. Cook, over medium heat, until mixture boils; stir constantly. Cook to 238° F. or until a small amount of mixture forms a soft ball in cold water (soft ball stage). Remove from heat; add vanilla and nuts. Cool to lukewarm (110° F.). Beat until candy begins to thicken and loses its gloss. Spread quickly in greased 8-inch square pan. Allow to cool, then cut into squares. Yield: 2 pounds. Note: if desired, omit nuts. Notes from me: Use a candy thermometer. Stirring constantly means just that. Omitting the nuts kind of defeats the purpose here.

What a cute, then scary GIF! So simple, yet so well done!
HaHaHa! Funny…….but not if it happened to me.
Love this!
EEEEEKKKK!
I just saw your post from the other day, I am so sorry to hear this, all my prayers, stay strong
Thanks, Bambushie! You are such a comfort! And prayers do help!

This HealthLink BC article…
… here…
gave me concise, clear information of the various things you may have to face.
May God grant you the strength you need.

You too, have a rough road ahead.
Again.
May God grant you the strength you need.

We always hear you just fine here, you know.
Hee hee hee hee…….
Love you Rita and will put you on my prayer list (you too arf arf).
You always know how to make me laugh!!! Thanks, David. xoxo
Bless you ML! Hang in there, and don’t ever give up. We need you, too!
looks like I’ll be going to the 500 at the end of the month. Wish you and MMM
could go with us……I’ll eat another plate of fried chicken, potato salad and
baked beans–just for you!
Have a really great time at the 500! Wish we were going, too. I can still make chicken and ‘tater salad and baked beans (with a little help) Thanks for your words of encouragement, O Great Leader! xoxo, Rita
Thanks. Strength and humor both help. We’ll share it together.

Another simple, yet effective, GIF! Cool!
Cleo strip: E-I-E-I love it!! LOL!!!

Is it the vibration that gives it the 3D effect? Similar to the blending that goes on between the two filtered lenses of 3D glasses?
About how many cels do you think Dain Fagerholm uses to create these 3D simulations?

FYI:
I made a lot of late replies on yesterday’s page for anyone who wants to go back to read them.
And I made some even later.
Thanks. I replied there with more details, some of them pretty hopeful.
You and your ‘Arfside’ family are awesome! Thanks for sharing your brave journey.

Although it was animated for a couple of weeks way back in March, I have not been able to get it to work again…..not for lack of trying, though.
So, it’s not the end of the world. Maybe someday, it’ll kick in unexpectedly.
Glad you like the new format. I guess it makes things a bit easier.
G’night for now…….!
With a no-no here and a no-no there…
Here a no, there a no…
Everywhere a no no!
I realize that you are very likely unaware of this, but there have been a high number of “no-no’s”, i.e. no-hitters thrown so far this baseball season, including two last week!
You’re right… I not only didn’t know the statistic, I didn’t know a no-no was a no-hitter.
When it comes to sports, you know i know no info…..
I’m a no-knowing no-nothing.
Sigh….
Cleo needs to go see how other animals live. Maybe then she will appreciate her life with Clara and Claude more.
Cleo’s a world famous actress.
Don’t start spreading rumors about her gender!
You know how the press is in Howlywood.
I changed it, I changed it. Wrote that right before bed, so I was a little groggy.

Re: Number five of yesterday’s puzzle sheet.
I didn’t find the solution, but I think my attachment says a good bit about why none of us got it.
Take a look at what’s listed as the average solving time.
Also remember that it could be a saying common in the U.K. that we’ve never heard of.
Wow!! I don’t have that much time to spare. I’m sure it would take me longer, anyways.
Good morning Balladeers, ((((( Plods))))) and Miss Susan.
Good morning, Cleo and pharm phans!
I guess Cleo’s never heard of horse kookies. Just like kitty kookies only bigger.
National Receptionists and Odometer Day.
Y’all check your mileage at the receptionists desk. (((((HuGz!)))))

Nutty Fudge
Illegal Odometer tampering
Illegal fudge tampering by nutties
I never did eat nutty fudge
Til a friend kinda gave me a nudge
Then I ate it and ate it
Til I was over sated
From the couch I barely could budge.
Clara has no idea as to what Cleo is talking about.
