Catching up to yesterday’s replies; top to bottom in order of appearance
@ MontanaLady
I suspect part of your eyesight problem with x_Tech’s solution is the combination of his having the flashes for the changes and an unfixable problem with pixel alignment of the two layers which lead to that 45° NW – SE “jump.” Your eyes have to take some time to adjust. nighthawks’ animations are single layer.
Thank you, for your congratulations on my having been vaccinated.
@ bambushie
The dates are a function of the old GoComics site.
When GoComics shut down Sherpa to comments it was Susan’s suggestion that we use the “Ballard Street” comment forum from exactly 10 years before the current date as our comment platform. We adopted that suggestion.
Thus x_Tech’s solution which he posted on Ballard Street on Monday, June 15, 2009 was for nighthawks puzzle on Sherpa of Saturday, June 15, 2019.
Sadly, that was the last animated solution he posted before his passing on June 24, 2019.

It does indeed feel good to be vaccinated. I even have two certificates stating place, date, time of vaccination, type, (Pfizer-BioNTech, lot number with expiry date) and the arm I received them in. They’ll come in handy if we ever have to carry a vaccination passport.
@ dorothea
Congratulations on getting your vaccinations.
Our premier, and health minister seem to have decided that bars are more important to keep open in at least some capacity than libraries.
Every press conference I see when both those two are present I get the strong impression that our chief medical officer is grinding her teeth to the point of needing dentures to keep herself quiet (Dr. Hinshaw is the one with the brains — our health minister left his house and physically called out some other doctor, at that doctor’s house, for some internet slight — our premier kept has kept him on as health minister).
I’m not sorry the bars are open, but I really miss the library. We can still reserve books and pick them up curbside, but that doesn’t replace wandering the shelves and picking up something that might be interesting.
I’m gone until Monday, for sure, possibly Tuesday.
You know, it’s hard to blame Claude on this one. Usually, he’s the one who sets up his own material. But this time he had to work from a piece of Intel from Clara. He didn’t have the luxury of managing his own setup. Much harder to work that way.
People, if you have never seen “Amelie,” find it online or on DVD or somewhere. It will be worth your time.
nighthawks, you’ve brought back good memories with that “extra.” 🙂 🙂 🙂
amen to that

It took Claude an extra panel to come up with that. But it was a good one.
OK I have nothing good to say about 2 out of 3 extras, so I will just shut up.
don’t like Skeeter’s hairdo?

and it took him a full thoughtful pane for himl to formulate it into words.

Closing shop during an exit-stencil crisis is a difficult decision…
It’s enter-resting as well…
You can’t have it both ways.
Look, they can’t all be gems.
Cleo would love to put a no exit-stencil on Claude’s mouth right now.
And Clara, too.

Whoa…dizzy
A great mind blower!
Did you see…….

Y’all stay hydrated… (((((HuGz)))))
I groan.
therefore I am
I’d say it’s time for Clara to ‘borrow’ one of Cleo’s weapons and hit Claude over the head with it…
But, this is a family strip……………..
yes , but it’s also a cartoon strip…..where cartoon physics reside—and nobody every gets hurt—permanently , anyway
I love them all!
C’mon, Cleo, that was a good one!! I love it Nighhawks! I always love a good play on words!
