Where’s the strings holding it up?

Looks like it should have strings holding it down… like, say, floating above the Macy’s Easter parade.

What do you expect when you put layers and layers of turbulent ocean on a vertical surface, without laying it flat to dry?

Maybe you should have mixed the paint with permanent wave solution.

I’m not fond of this style of painting, but I have to say that’s a really good depiction of the moon, with almost the exact “face” I see when I look at it.

Might be way too big in proportion, and probably done from a photo, but it’s done very well.

Credit where credit is due.

This picture goes well with “Key Largo” video playing.

I’m sorry. Someone has to say it.

Nope.

Probably another scene from Apollo’s Creed (video game).

Real Greek ruins are just that…. ruins.

You know… wrecked.. broken… roofless.
Usually isolated in a crumbling landscape.

Not clean, neatly tile roofed, and crowded into a small area on a hilltop, full of monuments …. and presided over by a 200ft(?) foot tall Athena.

Ah, but the splendor and grandeur of their hay-day would have been something to see (something like this pic).

Not a very good fake — cameras didn’t exist in 438 BC…

Very surprised they could get away with that in 1949.

Not really from 1949… The 1977 date might have some truth to it but 2013-ish is more like!y.

I couldn’t find much about this particular cover, except that it’s a modern spoof, by Mort Todd.

I did find out that Zeus Comics is fake… Well, it’s the name of a website and of a comic book store in Texas. But it’s not a comics publisher.

Mort Todd is an incredibly prolific writer artist and editor, among other things. He was for a while the Editor-in-chief of Cracked Magazine,.

One thing he’s known for as an artist is his very realistic fake comics covers.

I wonder. I remember car/sex “comic books” being circulated in middle school (1970’ish)

But that wasnt 1949… unless you’re waaaay older then I think!.

And …. um… I did look all this up.

Mort Todd was born in late 1961.

I was basing my comment on your suggestion that 1977 would be a more realistic publication date

Looks like Baker Street Underground station (London).

Top picture shows dual gauge track, both Standard Gauge (4′ 8 1/2″), and Brunel’s Broad Gauge (7′ 0 1/4″).

I found

FOUR….

comment image

I know I should say “so far…” in case anybody finds more.

But four kinda makes sense, in light of the four hidden numbers yesterday, also in spite of the title.

Probably from the same creator… and AFAIK nobody has found a fifth one in that puzzle, either.

Makes you wonder what bassets look like when they’re NOT busy.

Completely melted into the carpet?

One basset hound i knew years ago, when not otherwise occupied with important tasks, like eating, scratching, begging, whining, and stealing food, would snore so loudly that no matter the actual time, the house sounded like a truck stop at 6am.

@ Everybody

From May 18 “Foggy Mountain Breakdown:”

The teenage girl’s name is Millie Meunier.
Here is her description of the video from      HERE.

Foggy Mountain Breakdown inspired by the Earl Scruggs and Friends version. I wanted to see if I could play, produce and edit this with 5 different instruments.
Thank you to Starlight Country Cabin for allowing us to film at this beautiful location. Hope you enjoy!
Follow me on facebook and instagram at Millie Meunier Music for more updates!

I could find nothing more posted by her; which is a shame.
