“ink (apparently not in translation)” By: Avogado6 (avatar name)
Japanese illustrator; “ink” done in July of 2018.
His/her avatar name is apparently to honour the Italian scientist Amedeo Avogadro (Lorenzo Romano Amedeo Carlo Avogadro, Count of Quarengna and Cerreto); he of Avogadro’s law.
.
Just wow.
A yellow fronted woodpecker.
South eastern Paraguay, north eastern Argentina, south eastern Brazil from the coast inland.
He looks proud, like he knows he looks good, posing for the Sunday “Style” pages.
(For those who don’t know or don’t remember, “Style” is/was a section of the Sunday newspaper.
Newspaper.
You know…. N-e-w-s-p-a-p-e-r.
Yeah, like Google News, but printed on paper. Lots of paper.)
The NY Times still has a Thursday Style section.
Yeah, some papers do.
That’s why I put “is/was” in there.
My local paper doesn’t seem to, but it’s hard to tell cos I subscribe digitally and the headings don’t change, day to day.
….
I never buy the print edition any more.
In 2000 it was a quarter… then it went to 50¢, $1 on Sunday.
The Sunday print edition now is the size of the former Monday paper, which was the smallest of the week…
And it’s $4 in quarters to buy a copy from a box.
For all that, there’s no Sunday comic section!
What??!!

Kiki? Are you in that scrum?
So that’s where black cats come from!

“ Midnight Snack” By: C. F. Payne
Rover’s thinking: “If it’s all the same to you, I’d like something with meat in it.”
Rover is down low with the vegetable drawers.
But he can smell all the way up to the mest drawer.
And all those tasty leftovers in between.
…
Looks like there must have been a holiday or company dinner.
Sooo many Rubbermaid containers.
Dogs don’t understand “left over”.
when i was a tupperware manager, we used to call them ‘planovers’.
Dogs plan to eat every bite the moment they see or smell it, even if it’s way too much.
The only food some dogs might “plan over” is kibble, if they can get human food instead.
Buddy. 😀
Ooo, Ooo, a future “Spot the Ten Differences”…
you may be on to something
“ Road Trip II” By: Lucia Heffernan, 2021
Bunny!
And a bluebird and a lizard.
I didn’t see the lizard at first. I thought that was an air scoop. 😀
BUNNY!
Yeah, that ones a rabbit.
No doubt.
And now, heading back to the finish line…
What airport did you steal that rig from? XL on wheels.
Nautilus Live, LIVE!
Love the story of Polo. People need to give Pit Bulls a break, they can be the sweetest things ever.

They are OK!
I must have fallen asleep last night (ok, early this morning, the most of you) without hitting “post” on my comment.
I tried to say…
What the Dickens!
Claude looks like the ghost of Dinners Past.
