A picture tour of this palace in Portugal by photographer     JEROEN TAAL.     There is an introduction, and captions on some (but the uncaptioned ones are well worth looking at).

There should not have been 4 more movies in the series. John Rambo died at the end of David Morrell’s 1972 novel “First Blood.”

I don’t know how Morrell did a “Sherlock Holmes” revival in 1985 (when your protagonist is shot in the head….) because up until today I did not know he had joined forces with Hollywood.
And before you ask, I have read “First Blood.”

But you can’t make any money off of sequels if you kill off your protagonist in the first movie! You haven’t been Hollywoodized enough! {^¿^}

Meaning, please?
The closest I came to an internet meaning was “Seal Team 3” used by an internet “gaming clan” (I did not know they existed until today either).

I love this picture, they look like geese. I wonder if that inspired the spacecraft shapes.

I’ve been thinking about trying to find a website, cos I’m sure there is one, that lists all the names, preferably in alphabetical order.

It’s depressing… But I went to high school 2,000 miles away, and I’ve always wondered.

Here’s an alphabetical site run by the “Virtual Wall Association.”
Open it in a new window so you don’t lose this page.

https://www.virtualwall.org/iAlpha.htm

Here is the “Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund” site with a history and explanation of the wall (your National Parks Service is on site to help locate names / again, new window).

The Names

Pretty please …. Could you warn about what kind of “hard stuff” you mean when you post a link?

IE , I don’t care about “adult” but don’t want to get an unexpected glimpse of violence or gore.

The phrase “Hard stuff” usually refers to alcohol, and sometimes porn.

I’ll add war related next time – but I really assumed it was obvious from context.

We’ve asked you before, and it only worked briefly….

Now have to try again…

PLEASE don’t do that!

….

I would bet that you didn’t just find that site on your own, but searched from the puzzle we posted.

When you dig up and give away people’s sources, be it for pictures or puzzles…. it takes away their ability to post from them,

because soon there will be nothing left there that everyone hasn’t seen before.

Enjoy it yourself, but please don’t spoil the fun!

In fact I asked you the other day to please try solving the puzzle, instead of searching for the solution.

I’ve already solved it, beforehand, to make sure it was reasonable to post… Not every puzzle is.

I’ve spent quite a bit of time searching for sites and testing puzzles.

Not fair to come along and give it away!

Sorry if it hurts your feelings, but how can I ask you otherwise?

It’s not a chastisement but a plea. 🙏🙏🙏

I’d email, but you seldom read it, so if I didn’t say it here, you wouldn’t know.

Love this one!

Such great depictions of the characters…

It should be a long series instead of a one-off!

Something to keep in mind for another day.

I know that Friday, not Saturday, is typically animation day though it seems you don’t strictly adhere to the old schedule.

And I’m really not one of those people who doesn’t know Captain Kirk from Obi-Wan-Kenobi…

But one space opera leads to another, and it somehow makes me want to just say it anyway, for tomorrow…

May the Fourth be with you!

Apropos of absolutely nothing:
I’m rereading Jules Verne’s “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” which was originally a serial (I just now found out) in 1869 to 1870.
In chapter III, Verne implies that the U.S. flag had 39 stars. As the U.S. flag only had 37 stars in those years, Verne was exercising his imagination.
In fact, the U.S. flag never had an official flag with 39 stars. There were a number of 39 star flags made by flag manufacturers in 1889 in anticipation of the Dakota territory being admitted as one state, but as history shows, that did not take place.
Any version of the book I’ve read never had any illustrations either, but the original was illustrated by artists Alphonse de Neuville & Edouard Riou.
I haven’t found any site that says it lists all of their illustrations, but there are examples scattered over the ‘net.
The “squirrels” that catch my attention……

There was a manufacturer of flags who made them with 49 stars – unfortunately for them, both Hawaii and Alaska became part of the USA almost at the same time…
Resulting in the still accurate flag.
