Had a co-worker that was a bull rider, pro circuit, worked off-season in the same wood mill I was at. Same story – beat to heck. I honestly don’t understand why he kept going back.
A 2-10-2 ‘Santa Fe’ (Revised design). Good locomotives at slower speeds (Under 30mph) but could cause track damage at higher speeds due to unbalanced reciprocating mass inherent in the design. Sorted out in the replacement 2-10-4’s. The loco in the picture is as ‘Santa Fe’ owned and operated by the AT&SF who were the company that introduced the type.
I know the two on the right. I loved Mission Impossible. They ruined the movies by making the REAL hero into the bad guy in the first one; I haven’t watched any of the subsequent ones.
Thought that Bottom Right might have been the MI series, but couldn’t be certain. We did get that over here as well, but it must be forty-odd years since I saw an episode.
Spider chasing an ant into an anthill, then a bunch of ants chasing the spider. Anthill probably not the original ant’s home, judging by his own reception from the other ants (which are smaller)…
The hunter and victim both become the hunted. Such is Nature…
NOT FAIR! I have prosopagnosia, I have trouble recognizing male or female faces. Add or remove make-up, or change hair color or style, and boom, it’s a different person.
BTW, I find her much more attractive in this picture.
This is the operator side. The gears are on the other side.
This is an offset press, where the ink is transferred from the plate to a rubber blanket before being pressed on to the paper. One unit for each color ink.
Looks like the paper web moves vertically throught this design.
In case you haven’t guessed, I have been involved in building a few.
We only just discovered about 6 weeks ago that she had a phone in her room again, after nearly two years of sending her unanswered cards and being told there was no way to speak to her.
She could sometimes pick up, and speak, though with difficulty, but was more improved than I had thought possible. Not 100%, or even close, of course… but still Candi.
We were so happy to regain the connection. And now I’m really glad it happened before…
My heartfelt condolences nighthawks, and to everyone else mourning her passing.
Now, Free, to do once again what she did before.
May she fly among us all.
And Deep Peace to her soul and to her spirit.
.
Um…. why are you staring at me?
I can’t help it if I think you’re color enhanced.
It’s the lavender eyeliner.
The bloody nose looks real enough though…
./
..
I think I remember that from my “Paint by Numbers” kit…
The deft use of the artist’s palette knife brings such life and focus and emphasis of the situation presented.
Not quite ready to lay her eggs. She’s not totally full yet…
Rodeo clowns really earn their pay!
I knew one… about… oh… I dunno … 3,472 years ago.
Student during the school year, rodeo clown in the summer and maybe spring break.
I never saw him work… I don’t think I could have watched.
He was 19 or 20 years old, a funny, bright chemistry student.
We had a few “study dates”, and he showed me his collection of scars, knots and bumps, and pointed out all the bones he’d broken.
He seemed pretty nonchalant, but I wasn’t!
Had a co-worker that was a bull rider, pro circuit, worked off-season in the same wood mill I was at. Same story – beat to heck. I honestly don’t understand why he kept going back.
I’m calling shenanigans!
On what?
The flip and land on the back.

That was an interesting rabbit hole to dive down.
The extra set of wheels under the cab helped the dynamics that much? Impressive!
Anybody need a hint?
The dock is a hint.
And the filename is a bigger one.
As for that guy…
No. Even i got this. 🙂

Where not to buy a sandwich.
If say it’s more than half off.
I’d ask where it is, so I wouldn’t go there… But the labels are in another language, so maybe it’s someplace I don’t usually go anyway.
…,
Anybody need another hint?
Nobody our age.
Yes please, I know Top Right, we did get that one over here.
I know the two on the right. I loved Mission Impossible. They ruined the movies by making the REAL hero into the bad guy in the first one; I haven’t watched any of the subsequent ones.

Since there are questions….
The Untouchables, with Robert Stack as Elliott Ness.
Star Trek… I’m sure you know them all…
Mission Impossible… silver haired Peter Graves, Greg Morris (I think) and sorry, I can’t identify the woman… there were several….
And the Lucy Show… her later series, with the indefatiguable, multi-series comic foil, and not just Lucy’s… Gale Gordon.
This is from memory, so I’m open to correction.
sorry,
Luckily I have no idea what it is anyway.
I blew it up.
Its a Roadrunner cartoon with insects!
Spider chasing an ant into an anthill, then a bunch of ants chasing the spider. Anthill probably not the original ant’s home, judging by his own reception from the other ants (which are smaller)…

Thanks.
You probably
Chuck Connors and Johnny Crawford as father and son, in The Rifleman
But do you
So he became a teen singer, while still on the Rifleman. I think he actually had some hit records.
And did you know that he was small for his age… The program didn’t start till he was 13. He was probably 14 in this photo.
up you go to gramma’s house!
Sorry, Grandma… I’m afraid of heights.
I think I’ll just stay home.
I got the cartoon today! I dont have to use the phone to see it!
I hope lady dragon isn’t too upset when she finds out she made a mistake!
A boy dragon might love Cleo… She has a flamethrower and a bazooka!
Okay… In the billion years I’ve had guy friends, I’ve always heard them say “Oh, I don’t like women who wear makeup. I prefer them to be natural.”
Then they run off with some painted tramp. It’s funny if I’m not involved; frustrating if he was the object of my (pretty much unpainted) desire.
Anyway… I ran into some pictures on the Internet (no it didn’t hurt)…
So here’s #1 of a quiz.
Here’s someone famous, without her makeup…
Do you know who she is?
Yup.
But that’s why it’s a quiz for the guys.
We know. About makeup, I mean 😁
And yes, that’s sexist.
But it’s only guys I’ve known that couldn’t see it.
I struggle to identify people most times, but I got her without seeing the whole picture of her face. I think the eyes were the key.
Hardly.
I recognize people from their eyes and mouths only most times.
Me too. That’s my point!
So we’re not as fooled by makeup as are some of the men I’ve known.
I recognized her but I thought maybe the guys wouldn’t.
Anyway it’s a joke.
But whatever….
Sorry, I don’t fall into your category as a male who’d not recognize a lady without her makeup–I had no problem recognizing her

I was wrong. I thought it was an older star.
I thought Hepburn.
I was thinking Debbie Harry.
Forgot to say… Ermoupoli is on Syros, a Greek island in the Agean Sea, almost halfway to Turkey, as the crow flies.
A beautiful place, from pictures, anyway.
thanks, I pondered posting a map clarifying where exactly Syros is
The inside of part of a printing press.
Guy being the most essential part.
He’s the one who quickly writes all the stuff on each page.
He’s an imp?
A printer’s imp?
Yeah .. look at his huge bicep. 😁

The guy stays in there? While it’s printing?
I thought he was just doing maintenance or some such.
He is doing maintenance, the machine side we’re viewing is the operator’s side.
That’s what Greyhame said…. so I thought he meant that fellow is the operator, and stays in there when he’s running it.

Oh, that is very sad news 🙁
I’m expecting no less than extraordinarily beautiful sunsets, ~rises, rainbows, whatever from now on.
She’s a free spirit again…
that was sweet, Ti
Heart-felt.
I can’t stop crying…
We had our differences, but I’ve always loved her as the good person she is.
Dang it.
I don’t have the words.
Nothing I can say that you don’t already know.
This is devastating.
And sooo not fair.

This is so sad. I send my sympathy to those who knew her. Like Happy³, I really don’t know what to say.
While not unexpected, it’s still such very sad news.
😞🖤
Have not really known her, but read her name so often and can admire her Artwork here at Cleos. So sorry, for this loss! 😢
Dear Stelbel, now you are save and can rest in peace! 🕊
