Oh, don’t YOU look like my Otis! (A little lighter in the face, but the same eyes and narrow head/snout.)

That is a very earnest face. You can’t lie to that face.

I feel that way about most dogs.
They have such trust in their eyes.

Doesn’t stop me from faking them out with a feigned toss of the ol’ tennis ball, though.

One of my favorite people.
I really need to read his daughters book.

Always with a cigarette.

I’ve read that he smoked 4 packs a day, and it didn’t do him any good.

I have to say, though, that if it weren’t for his brilliance, a certain percentage of the images we enjoy on this site wouldn’t exist.

Sorry… I should have said!

Arfside said his name…

In case it doesn’t ring a bell….

He was…
…the creator, producer, and on-air host of “The Twilight Zone”, and wrote a large percentage of the episodes himself.

This is Tombill, a stray cat in Istanbul … He used to go to cafes and also sit like this beside the low wall against the street.

People took pictures, so he became famous on the Internet. Everybody knew his name, and fed him.

When he passed on, he was memorialised with that statue.

Sneaky! Every so often, it gets hungry and snatches one of those tasty morsels that thinks they can slip through unnoticed!

Pretty nifty move. Don’t think I would try it, however. Certainly not at my age.

Once of each, please… If they freeze okay, so I can keep the leftovers.

I just don’t want to have to choose!

For banoffee pie, I’ll even eat caramel. In fact, that one won’t freeze, so I’ll have it tonight, please, after a savory one. Almost any one

Eek! It looks entirely too real.

I mean, okay… I know it is real… and a great tragedy for the wax peoples of the world….

But … it looks too much like … um…
Oh gosh…. what can I say without upsetting all the wax people?

You guys know what I mean.

I looked a lot like Johnny Crawford at that age.
I wonder how many of them went on to have great showbiz careers?

A few did, and a few had troubled lives.

I’d think that if they had great showbiz careers, you’d most likely have heard of them. Like Richard Thomas, Angela Cartwright, and Marlo (no relation)Thomas, who stayed famous, for three..

And Kathy Lennon, I guess, cos she went on singing with her sisters.

I know Jay North has written about the hard time he had, along with some success, and he became a cop for a while.

Jon Provost in middle age became a realtor in my area… I never went to his office, but I’m told he had some Lassie memorabilia there.

Oh, and Paul Peterson was okay, but became very concerned when one of the others on this page committed suicide as an adult, and started an organization to help child performers adjust.

Richard Thomas is still doing very well. We saw him in a Broadway play yesterday. He was excellent, as was the rest of the cast.

+++Breaking News+++

The Canada goslings hatched Sunday. Six adorable little ones.
“Cuteness overload”, my husband commented.
Pictures will follow.
One of them nibbled at his finger – just like their Mom used to.

Some years ago I had the “honor” of protecting a goose family across town from where they nested to a nearby lake at a golf course. They weren’t sure about me at first, but after stopping traffic at at a few streets, they let me around them and trusted me to indicate when to cross. We had to cross a few main streets, the highway through the city and a school yard during afternoon recess. Luckily, some other people were around to help me get them across the highway. By the time we got to the golf course, the parents had high trust in me but i still kept y distance from the little ones. The distance was well over a mile and obviously, the goslings needed to take a few rest breaks along the way.

Did you ever feed them after that or let them get to know you?
