When I was a high school student in Alaska (early 70s) Dad, my brother and I got to go up in a small plane (really small – 4 seater Cessna) and fly near Mount St. Augustine during an eruption. Way cool. Pilot was an Air Force officer, so he was able to get permission to take the plane there. We took photos, but I have no idea where they are now. I believe some are posted on a website dedicated to tracking the volcanic activity in Alaska.
But all the results I got from it tonight were links to long videos in which this would be a tiny blip, so I didn’t get specific information about this farm.
I did Google Chinese snake farms though… And apparently it’s a huge industry there, raising snakes for their skins, and for food, and for use in traditional medicines.
Must be great stuff, cos the bottle only mentions the movie, and not what’s in it.
Google says it’s “whiskey.”
Great .. so we know how old the movie is, but not the booze.
Nor do we know the brand, where it was bottled… not even whether it’s bourbon or straight whiskey.
I also don’t see anything connecting it to Universal, who own the rights, so it’s probably pirate, maybe from China.
I imagine it’s pretty horrible.
Words of advice: if you buy a product from a brand you’ve never heard of, just because you like the bottle, the tin, the color, or the celebrity face on the label… you’ll probably get something you could otherwise buy at the dollar store.
Okay, maybe this is a mother and son, then and now. MAYBE.
But consider… The lefthand picture is from the late 30s, early 40s. Mom is about 22 – 25? Relatively stylish.
On the right… Dunno what year but the “son” is 50-ish. If she was 22 on the left and by the time this was taken, he was 50, she’d be only 72 in it.
Even if she was 29 in the first one (doubtful) and he’s now 55, she’d be 84…. but 84 isn’t what it used to be.
We’re supposed to believe that sometime between the two photos, probably in her 70s, she became an arthritic, white haired old lady, happily wearing the costume of a Ukrainian babushka?.
Sorry, I’m not buying it.
And BTW, a baby born in 1940 would be 85 himself in 2025, and his mother would be about 115.
For him to be 50 in it, the right-hand picture would have to have been taken about 1990. I suppose that’s possible.
…
Anyhow, I did some image search…. And saw dozens of similar pictures.
I even saw this picture of the man and old lady, but with a completely different “mother and baby” on the left.
In a couple, these same two pictures were labeled 1988 and 2008. There’s no way that’s 1988 on the left!
And there were other people in all different combinations.
I went to a few of the sites linked and found out that this, for some reason, is a common subject for AI.
My mom was 37 when she had me.
My mil was 35 when she had my husband. She passed away at age 87.
That woman reminds me of her. The son’s age fits.
She was an arthritic, white haired old lady and would have happily worn the costume of a Ukrainian babushka – which I believe the lady in that photo is.
Yes, that can happen… but I’m not really talking about how old women can be to have children, or how old they might get afterwards… My mother was 35, too, when she had my brother (her last), though she died at barely 65.
I’m talking about the age difference in this particular picture.
The woman pushing the baby carriage just doesn’t look 35 to me.
If she does to you, then yes, when she was 87, her son, like your husband, would have been 52. And yes, tht’s about the age of the fellow in the right hand photo.
Of course I could be wrong… but to me, the young mother looks to be only in her early 20s… but if she’s already a young looking 35, wearing fashionable Western clothing, I can’t picture her later dressing like the lady in the other picture… who looks more like 97 to me anyway.
But OK let’s say she did…. and the two pictures do show her at 35 and 87.
My point wasn’t that I knew for a fact one way or the other, but that I found it unlikely…. so I Google searched this particular picture and found dozens of results pointing towards it being AI.
Both my mil and my mother looked very young for their age back then. Always dressed fashionable, too. Made their own clothes. But polyarthritis took its toll on the former’s health… she really looked like that in her 80th. And chose function over fashion then…
Connect-The-Dots fun!
Maybe not for poor Mama Dalmatian, if this is all one litter.
I know they have big litters, but not like this. I can’t even count them.
Okay, I just googled it. They usually have 6 to 9, occasionally up to 14 or 15…. And 19 was a record litter.
Anybody wanna try numbering these guys?
I count about a dozen… Not a great help I am, sorry 😐
S’OK… I’m not even trying!
Instead of numbering, shouldn’t they get names?
Sure! How many names will we need?
Start with an A and go from there.
When adopted, I’ll bet at least one is named Spot, and another might be named Pinto.
I’m seeing spots before my eyes! I’d better call my doctor.
,
What snaps onto that moon?
Maybe it’s a docking station for interplanetary visitors… The ones who have ships too big for Earth’s landing fields.
We’ll hope they don’t start towing it away….
It does have a kinda Death Star vibe to it.

Did I tell you I was wakened up (in Vancouver BC) by the blast? Said “I bet that’s Mount St. Helens blowing up” and went back to sleep?
How did you know?
My late ex-sister-in-law was fascinated by volcanoes.
She wanted to go see Mount Saint Helens after it cooled but she had a job, and their children were in grade school,.
I bought her a small glass bottle of ashes from it for her birthday, by mail order, from a rockhound type store..
I remember thinking it was overpriced, for a bottle of nondescript gray powder… especially since who knows if it’s what they say.
But she loved it.
I have become fascinated with them because of YouTube.

Lizard farming?
Snakes.
According to my search, a snake farm in China.
But all the results I got from it tonight were links to long videos in which this would be a tiny blip, so I didn’t get specific information about this farm.

“You’re going to need a bigger bottle…!”

I think she likes him…
He’s an animal chiropractor!
I’m not sure whether this link will work… If it does, you can unmute the sound.
If it doesn’t, I’ll remove it … but maybe you’ll see this first.

Well, it just worked for me, so we’ll see.
Ooooh! Ooooooh! YES! Right there! Scratch behind that left ear! Please don’t stop! I think I love you!!!
Fun fact.
You have as many vertebrae in your neck as she does.
see the army guy?
Yup
Of course. He’s right there. 😁
.,
I hope the insurance pays to put the wall back on…
It’s gotta be a puzzle.
Yep .. it’s that puzzle art style.
Nope, I couldn’t see the Army guy in there. 😉
Saturday is coming…
“Spot the differences…”
,,,,
:’o(
My dad joined the Navy about 2 days after. Had to memorize the eye chart to pass. Got glasses afterwards.
My Dad had already done 18 months in the North Atlantic by that point…

I put a like on this… Then I started thinking.
We’re so gullible!
Okay, maybe this is a mother and son, then and now. MAYBE.

Fake schmaltz.

find the puppy
Yup!
I think he’s a full grown puppy…
But yeah.
Dog care tip: mulching your dog is not a recommended method for feeding him.
Turn on the can opener. He’ll pop right up.
..
It says AI right on it! Makes me wonder what’s fake.
I don’t see anybody wearing mini shorts, though… Do you?
Coincidently, this popped up in my YouTube queue.
I guess the elected the new Pope…
😁
This is the Festival of San Paolo, Patron Saint of Palazzolo Acreide, in Sicily…. July 13, 2024
Oh dear! I so miss both of them! ❤️❤️
I keep forgetting to say… Tonight’s “poster” was actually a birthday “card” for Montana Lady.
She was 80 on the 10th of last July, so I guess this was for her 75th.
Good reminder to call her again. Not that I actually forget… I just don’t do it often cos it’s hard for her to talk on the phone.
Miss you Rita! Not that she’ll see this.
Say hi for us. 🙂
