People say I’m too young.

They say we’re from different cultures.

But they don’t know what’s in our hearts!

Couldn’t they have just used the brass bit, itself, upside down?

Yeah, I figured.

But I think I’d take a normal spigot over a high arched one made of tubing and string, lovely as it is.

I think the threads limited them to that orientation.

Maybe, but the plumbing threads I’ve used all go the same direction. Righty tighty lefty loosy😁

There’s one kind that’s backwards… I’m pretty sure that’s for gas lines.

Once a part is attached, a half turn either way would turn it the other direction, and they’re hopefully made with enough threading to do that.

But… Sigh… I’m no plumber so you probably mean something in not getting.

And because of people like this, we can’t have phone booths any more.

When the mall I worked in, 35 miles from home, took out all the phone booths, they said it was because of drug dealers.

Same with every outdoor phone booth on the street I walked home along from downtown, in my own city, and made me start driving instead of enjoying the walk.

Some stores had them indoors, but after they closed for the day, there was nothing.

In both cases, I had called the relevant police department to complain that it left no place to call the police, a cab, or a friend for a ride.

This was several years before cell phones were pocket size…. And about 10 or 12 years before I had one.

Yeah… I was going to say pretty much the same thing.

I think I see an angelfish, but if I’m right, it’s not only one of the biggest things in the picture, it isn’t hidden or disguised in any way.

So…. Maybe there’s a tiny one someplace that I can’t see, or maybe this isn’t really a puzzle.

Or…. Could this be one tiny piece of a much bigger page, which made the angelfish harder to.pick out?

Woo Hoo! Now we get some action! Perro kicking some bad guy asp. This is the stuff a good adventure comic needs lots of. Rescues, escapes, asp-kicking, and duels!

¡Ay, Dios mio! It has finally happened, mis Cleomigos!

It says so, right on top: “Perro™ commences his ride!”

“Perro™ rides! At last, he rides!

….

Avenger of evil, rescuer of mothers and babies…. champion of the down-trodden….

He rides!

Apparently right up onto rooftops…

Or maybe he stands on his horse to climb onto rooftops… yeah, isn’t that what basset heroes do?

And he leaps onto evil-doers, fists blazing… sword at the ready!

…..

Will he mark the corrupt alcade with a “P”?

Is he going to take up this fight singlehanded?

Who will ride with “Perro™?

Stay tuned!

Another day…. at this basset time, on this basset channel!

From yesterday

The Cocaine Fiends

Was a 1935 movie about the dangers of cocaine use.
The only thing that saves it from “Reefer Madness” status, is cocaine is in fact as dangerous as the opening blurb makes it (that’s all I watched / the “production values” are obvious).
Here it is.
