I didn’t last long.
I quit after maybe two weeks. Its clientele (even in the one on Georgia Street, where I worked) were pretty much all of the two percent of the public that make service jobs difficult.
I’m not going to officially disagree with the caption, but before I saw it the background said “Granville Street” to me.
A short article, with a wider view photograph of the street, (and an “advertising” photograph too) about Kappabashi Street in Tokyo, Japan. LINK The article says it’s the 35th most visited place in Tokyo on a list of 80.
You can see why the basset keeps him around. Very handy for when you’re called upon to ascend a steep set of steps.
Also, the lady sitting quietly in the background is wondering if it is her turn next?

I consider myself fortunate to have found six thus far – maybe 20 minutes. You eagle-eyed puzzle solvers will no doubt do far better.
I love Harry Chapin live. The first time I went to one of his concerts I liked Taxi, but it wasn’t enough to make me a huge fan. But he engages the audience, he tells stories, and really brings you into his life, the life behind the songs. After that I bought all the albums and saw him again when came through again.
Looks like GoComics is changing things again.
I can’t get on. “The requested service is temporarily unavailable. It is either overloaded or under maintenance. Please try later.”
If you can’t connect to a site, and not sure if the problem is with the site or just your device, a good site to use is one like this https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ (Other site checking services are available via your favourite search engine). Put in the site you’re trying to get to, and it will tell you if the site is down for everyone or not.
Dilbert and The Far Side sites are also unobtanium as I suspect they are hosted by GC.
I went to a couple of Andrews McMeel sites, where you can find another route to puzzles and Dear Abby, but the links to all of their comics sites return errors.

I tried GoComics right after I opened Cleo, before I wrote my comment about the puzzle, which I posted about 11pm PST, or 2am EST, and got the same message.
I have bookmarks for a couple of the sites like those mentioned by More_Cats_etc. I tried both, every hour or so, and it was still down.
I just checked now… Nothing has changed.

It used to mean an actual server problem or sometimes a DNS error, but in the last 5 years or so, on GoComics it has meant an “upgrade”….
Which I have afterward generally regarded as a downgrade.
They did this when they took away our images and links, as well as when they “froze” Ballard Street after Jerry VanA’s retirement… and several times when they tweaked the forums to add the “featured comment”, disallow long posts, change the thumbs, etc.

She is a superb performer, very accomplished both vocally and instrumentally. It’s an unusual, but not unprecedented, combination.
As for the original Threepenny Opera, by Brecht & Kurt Weill, I have performed it at the university level as 1st (and 2nd) trumpet in the pit, and it is a lot of fun to perform. But it is in no way a swinging, danceable, Dixieland-band, type of song. Mack the Knife is a murderous thug in the story, not some happy-go-lucky rebel. He is pretty much the bottom of the barrel. The song graphically describes how you can tell that he is “back in town.”
