I know but he presented it to me as a quiz, instead of telling me, and when I asked him by email if it was ok to celebrate it he never answered.

How about it Alexi?

Do you want a party… either a belated one this time, or next year?

Right now, we still owe one to Arfside…

I put them off because of StelBel.

I need to know what everybody thinks about resuming, cos we have another coming up later this month.

And they won’t be the same, until Stel comes back with all her contributions.

Oh right… Two different cats have that marking.

(It’s not the same cat… look at the tail and left ear of the supposed cat-shaped marking, and the stripes behind one real kitty’s ear.)

It’s starting to look like there are some sort of Photoshop stencils you can use to create popular images.

Pictures taken at different times, the cat looks slightly fatter in the second picture. The cat is also in a different position which would make the ‘tail’ look different because of the angle it’s being viewed from, and the fur from the cats shoulder is making the ‘ear’ look different.

But it could be photoshopped, the pictures (I’ve seen at least one more of this cat and its ‘cat’) have been knocking around the web for a few years now.

From yesterday.
I suspect the people at ComicsKingdom.com may have changed the method again, because they have not disabled comments.
I offer as evidence in the spoiler box a screen snip of the first five comments on “Sally Forth” (the only comic I really read there) from yesterday.
Having no desire to join, I haven’t any idea of the method.

‘Sally Forth’; first five comments from yesterday.

You probably don’t need this now, but as I put it together…
I’m presuming you have shortcuts to get to the comics you read there, but as I don’t know how you’ve set them up I’ll go back to basics.
My shortcut to “Sally Forth” always brings up the route to the comment box so yours should too, but, as your attachment shows, bad programming abounds.
I used “Hagar The Horrible” today just because (Hagar is a female name by the way).

1)  Go to the U.R.L.      comicskingdom.com
2)  Clear the aren’t-we-great pop up advertisement (if it shows up).
3)  Click on the purple A–Z comics list box and select the comic you want.
4)  If you get the “You’ve reached your monthly max…” box ignore it and click the calendar icon which will bring up a list of the most current dates of the comic (if the comic opened directly go to step 6)
5)  Select the date you want.
6)  Once selected, the comic will open; there is a “speech bubble” icon (again purple) at the lower left labeled “COMMENTS” that’s the icon you need (see below).

comment image

7)  When the icon activates scroll down, and you will see the screen snip below (I decided to be pedantic, so I marked it).

comment image

8)  I’m hoping step 8 is as simple as you logging in.

I replied before I saw your explanation below, I use Comics Kingdom out of Oregon, so l don’t have a limit, but I will try your method and see, it is a lot of steps though, are the commenters still as snarly as ever?

Today’s Songs:
‘Suite: Judy Blue Eyes,’ ‘Sunny Afternoon,’ ‘Sunny Days,’ and ‘Sunshine of Your Love,’ and the ‘Cheap Thrills Cuisine’ recipe ‘ Braised Lamb Shanks.’
Written in to the rules of a musical ‘suite’ and a play on ‘sweet-Judy-blue-eyes’; Judy Collins
Actually written in the morning. Then Prime Minister Harold Wilson’s tax policies are referenced in the opening line (link to the lyrics below the recipes).
‘Lighthouse’ was from Toronto and are definitely not an incarnation of ‘Edison Lighthouse’ from England.
Jack Bruce, Eric Clapton, Pete Brown, are credited Ginger Baker made up a ‘tom-tom’ drum beat (Jimi Hendrix directly influenced Jack Bruce’s riff).
I’ve heard of ‘fussy cooks’, but 2 3/8 inches?….a bit much. The shank: bottom of belly to either leg’s knee; back end and 3/4 up the belly to either leg’s knee; front end. The recipe sounds good, but I still like my ‘Baked Orange Lamb Steaks’ better; recipe below.

BAKED ORANGE LAMB STEAKS

2 lamb steaks, trimmed of excess fat
1 teaspoon salt
2 medium oranges, sliced
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon grated orange rind
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon dried mint flakes
1/4 cup melted butter

Cut lamb steaks in half and arrange in shallow baking dish.
Sprinkle with salt; top with oranges.
Pour mixture of remaining ingredients over steaks.
Bake in moderate oven (325 °F.) about 40 minutes, basting often.

Notes from me:
A 9” deep dish pie plate works just fine for cooking.
Cover the pie plate with tinfoil and crimp the edges. This keeps the moisture in and there’s no need to baste.
I never peel the oranges before slicing, the rinds cook thoroughly and add a contrasting tart taste to the dish.
Leave out the mint leaves (or not) and this works really well for pork chops too.

“I’ve heard of ‘fussy cooks’, but 2 3/8 inches?….a bit much” says the master of decimal digits…

That equals 6 cm, plain and easy.

By definition one inch is exactly 2.54 centimetres so 2 3/8 (.375) inches is:    2.54 cm/in ×2.375 in =6.032 cm   not 6 centimetres.

As a past mathematics instructor used to tell the class, “There’s no arguing with a definition.”
So 2.375 inches is 6.0325 centimetres; period.

@nighthawks

I replied to your soup-recipe request on yesterday’s post, but here it is again:

Put chicken or chicken-parts into a pot
Add onions to taste (ginger too if you wish)
Add a pinch of salt
Just cover with water
Cover the pot
Bring to a boil
Let it simmer for 15 minutes
Turn off the heat
Let it sit as is for half an hour (or longer)
Take out the chicken and bone it – it’s fully cooked, but still juicy, use it in ragout or with any condiments or for sandwiches or add noodles
The soup is delicious as is, but you may add some pumpkin, cut in bite-sized pieces, and some freshly ground black pepper
You may use the bones to make soup, too – collect them in a bag in the freezer.

But you have to open the package first – not easier than roughly cutting up an onion…

But she can hear them. I’m sure that what Tigressy intended was for the music to be played for Stel. Perhaps they can put headphones on her, or put ear buds in, so that the tunes can be played from something with web access.
