From yesterday.
I’m going to take it that you really don’t know the Mac “alt” code equivalents.
This is the Mac coding for ±
Option + 00B1 ± Plus or Minus Sign
It is found on the “Showing 201 to 300 of 523 entries” page of the link I’ve posted below.
I did not realize until today that there are, in fact, two accepted versions of the sign; the one above, and the one Susan used ∓ (Minus or Plus) which in Mac coding is
Option + 2213 ∓ Minus or Plus Sign
found on the “Showing 401 to 500 of 523 entries” page.
The site doesn’t say (that I came across anyway / I wasn’t looking) that you actually need the + sign or capitals, so I’m guessing just holding down the “option” key and typing straight will bring the sign you want up.
Thanks, Alexi, this certainly helps me, easy to consult and all in the one place.
For me, I’m using a Windows keyboard on my MAC computer, so the “Option” key for me is now the “ALT” key equivalent.
Nice!
Well worth the time.
I finally have a basic understanding of how analyzing light works. It isn’t the light that’s there, it’s the light that isn’t.
I actually never heard it explained that way before.
I hope you’re not up because of pain.
I wish you a good night’s sleep.
The Human artist did a good copy of the Basset Thanksgiving. I don’t usually jump in to the puzzles, but this one kept a grip on me till I found them all. I love all the teen bassets.
And I am prepared to believe that the Germans actually have a name for that image. People with the wherewithal to coin “schadenfreude” (sp?) should be able to pretty much conjure up a word for anything.
I was referring to the antlers – my late Great-Uncle Gottlieb was a hunter and told me how to count the points when I was very little, but curious – and not afraid of or appalled by all those deer skulls at his walls.
All in all, that Basset-stag looks like a Wolpertinger.
Btw: Why is a man’s Bachelorette party called stag ~, but a woman’s one hen ~?!?
Hunter’s speech.
Take the number of points from the antler with the most and multiply that by two.
If one antler happens to have only six points and the other has eight, you’ve got an “ungeraden Sechzehnender”.
Sometime between Tuesday, August 14,1888, and Sunday, October 14, 1888. From the official site at the link. The first digging work started on the 26th January 1887. On the 31st March 1889, the Tower had been finished in record time – 2 years, 2 months and 5 days – and was established as a veritable technical feat.OFFICIAL SITE OF THE EIFFEL TOWER (ENGLISH)
By contrast there is a contracting company which has been working — loosely used term — on four four-storey wood-frame buildings (maybe 150′ by 70′) by the library branch I usually use for seven years now. There’s somebody there every working day I’ve been by, and I visit a lot, so it’s not the builder’s (ers’) money that’s in short supply.

War of the Worlds–1953
Peanut butter fudge
That’s number 2 for me. Right after simple old fudge.
But to be honest, i’ll be happy to eat any of it. 🙂
.
Baby, you’re the ginchiest!
I loved that show as a teenager! Watched it recently and wondered how I was so infatuated with Kookie! Now, Roger Smith………..

MAC ALT CODE LINK
I hope I haven’t offended, but if I have apologies (and please don’t tell Chucky I don’t need that little monster chasing me with his knife).
“my” to “me” 09:57 E.S.T. today
no no no offense whatsoever.. and no Chucky
..again, I’m grateful for your contributions here

First time I’ve found all nine differences! 🙂
I’ve found seven so far. Some of them are pretty easy.
That is the main reason I managed to find all nine 😉
The Human artist did a good copy of the Basset Thanksgiving. I don’t usually jump in to the puzzles, but this one kept a grip on me till I found them all. I love all the teen bassets.
Oooh… I love that Nordog Barkwell painting!
And tonight we see it in stereo!
Well, almost in stereo… I mean… there are nine differences between the panels…
And after you’ve tried very hard to find them all….
You can check your solution
Don’t cheat!
It’s very close to Christmas… remember that Santa Paws might already be listening.
That second serving dish from the bottom looks like the Tacoma Dome.
I am prepared to take your word for that.
Maybe it’s a bit more like the dish in the human version than the one in the original Barkwell.
What do they keep in it? Or serve from it?
I think they missed a beat by not naming it the Tacomadoma.
I’m good; I didn’t cheat. And got them all.
Bonus: The same even!
I got eight. Not bad for me. 🙂
It took two days, but I got ’em all!
FIGARO! Beloved song from Barber of Seville. We have Marriage of Figaro coming to Seattle Opera this season.
Loved today’s diverse videos!
That roasted kibble is suspiciously cat-shaped.
My thought too!
I thought I was the only one who was going to see that.
Poor Uncle Al looks like a deer in the headlights, which is particularly embarrassing for a basset.
Ein ungerader Vierzehnender!
And I am prepared to believe that the Germans actually have a name for that image. People with the wherewithal to coin “schadenfreude” (sp?) should be able to pretty much conjure up a word for anything.

Aber vierzehn ist keine “ungerade” Zahl, sondern “gerade”…!

Rosebud? Is that you?
this is Uncle AL,
the kiddie’s pal,
hello little friends, heLLO!
What a treat! The Kiddies Pal!

9 woo hoo
Got them all today. Love the picture!
Hooray! I got all 9, too!
