Gosh… Where did he find a big jar of strawberry jam, out there on the ice?

Some campers must have left it, right?
How lucky for him!

What’s that you say? Sorry… I’m watching a video and I can’t hear you….

No, it’s okay… I’ll just watch my video…. I said no… I can’t hear you….

I think there are three, content to sleep in the cage.

But I pick the one with brains and initiative… I know sometimes the contented ones are easier, though.

I love orange cats. Even if they all share the same brain cell.

I’ve seen small versions for kids, like at Chuck E. Cheese.

I didn’t know it was for adults, too.

I see a bunch of stuffed animals … Maybe this is a kid’s game… But I think the rings are closer at Chuck E Cheese.

Skee Ball was an amusement park, or seaside pier game here in the UK when I was a kid.

Ocean View Amusement Park in Norfolk, VA had Skee Ball when I was a kid. One of many games in the Arcade section.

LOL…

A few years ago I wondered which came first… were the prelates named after the birds, because their red vestments looked like the bird’s red feathers, or vice versa.

Turns out the human ones were called cardinals, from a Latin word signifying their importance in the church (just like cardinal sin and cardinal numbers) for hundreds of years before New World settlers somewhat jokingly named the birds after them.

Just in case you ever wondered.

I know… Usually it’s just me

This one https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurasian_bullfinch is called “Gimpel” in German – which also means “simpleton”, here the bird’s name is older.
Or “Dompfaff” because of his colors – “Dom” = “Cathedral; “Pfaff” is condescending for “Catholic priest” which makes Dompfaff – not a nice word for bishop.

On that little peninsula on the upper part, the very pointy one, to the right of the center… There’s a very big rock.

Reminds me of Cake Wrecks… a book and a website of failed (supposedly) professional cakes.

I think this was the cake that started it…. another case of an order taker missing the point….

There used to be a display in the Royal BC Museum of a 19th Century kitchen that was almost identical. (They even piped in the smell of apple pie baking!)

I searched it, and never did find out what PA actually stands for. In fact, the images that Google called exact matches didn’t include it.

I’d thought it was a joke, but it’s actually a real building in Istanbul… The following is from an archeology group on Facebook:

“On Alaykoskü Street in the Cagaloglu district of Istanbul, Turkey, there’s a building that reveals the city’s layered past. At the base are Roman columns from a cistern built around the late 2nd or early 3rd century AD.

Above that is a Byzantine arch, likely from the 4th century AD, representing the city’s earlier Roman history. Higher up, an Ottoman stone wall from the 15th century reflects the city’s imperial era.

Finally, the upper floors, made of baked brick from the 1920s, mark the early years of the Turkish Republic. This building serves as an 1,800-year timeline of Istanbul’s rich history, showcasing the blend of cultures and empires that shaped the city into the crossroads of civilizations it remains today.”

I wonder what the family on the 6th floor thinks about it… Probably “When are they gonna fix the &#@! toilet? It’s gotta be 600 years old!”

Dang! I think it’s AI…..

There are just too many shape variations, and too many fake geographic descriptions…

And guess what… “Toblerone” figures heavily, used as either a place name, e.g. “Tobleronistan”,.or in the name or description of the train itself.

And then there’s this:

The picture I saw (A long time ago before the scourge of AI), shows this shape, but in the red of the top picture. I believe it was built to use old mine tunnels, but I could be wrong about that.

There were all different shapes, in the images I found… Most were that same red, but triangular, like the Toblerone one… but they had subtle differences.

A lot used the same exact background as these two, including the wheel trucks (if that’s what they are) and the power pole… proving that they were AI.

They all seem to be trolleys.

I couldn’t find even one with a serious description… they were all satirical.

This is a glamorous

Hollywood star…
Fay Wray
in 1933

BTW… This is not long before the Hays Code sanitized the movie industry.

Doesn’t it look like they kind of touched up her dress in this photo, in a way they wouldn’t have done under the Code?

I’m not surprised that it took Clara and Claude, but especially Clara, a couple of days to let us see this picture of Cleo carving the turkey.

She’s probably embarrassed that she ever gave Cleo permission…. or ever expected her to do a good job.

Of course, nobody expects their precious pet to show up for a holiday dinner, eager to do a job they’ve been begging to do, and pull out a chainsaw.

The thing is, if you’re Clara, you should expect that very thing, and she knows it, because she knows Cleo.

I know it’s a big mess, but you should still be able to pick out, a few things that are different in the second panel…

Here’s what I found, amongst the flying debris….
