I tried to search the image, but all the results except for one were links to pages like “202 beautiful castles”… No identifying details.
It couldn’t possibly belong on all of them, cos they included “57 castles in Ireland”, “15 places to visit in eastern Europe” and “Colleges that look like Castles”.
The only one that was specific identified it as Hogwarts…. But I’ve seen illustrations of Hogwarts, with conical towers, and I don’t think this is it…. And that link didn’t work anyway.
Every now and then there’s a kitty who loves the snow.
Some friends had one. They didn’t live anywhere near snow, so they only found out when they took their three cats with them for a few weeks or a month in another friend’s cabin in the Sierras
Yes, I agree… That in itself was a crazy thing to do.
I can’t remember the little fellow’s name… but my friend said he ran around in the snow and didn’t want to come in.
The other cats looked at him in astonishment, and meowed to each other the feline equivalent of “Why, bless his lil’ heart.”
Which actually means “Somethin’ ain’t right with that boy.”
Ok, i just looked it up, and this predates the first episode of the Jetsons by several months.
However, both this magazine and the cartoon are produced by Hanna-Barbera… and the Jetsons just happen to live…. in the Skypad Apartments, in Orbit City!
And it looks like the family on the cover also happen to have teenage daughter and a younger son.
Yeah, I was entirely too hasty in my sleepy state last night.
There are many solutions… I just found one and ran with it.
The only variable that’s defined by the first two equations is apple, and that’s only if we stick to positive integers.
For strawberry to be 9, pineapple and apple both have to be 1, the way I’m seeing it right now. Then again, I don’t see a rule against that…. Or anything.

Not for nothing, but … … … how many differences are we supposed to find?
This is from March 23, 1943. Maybe he’s thinking quality, not quantity. Then again, lots of classy pinups is never a bad thing. The legs almost look like something from Vargas pinups.
missed the spoon.
There’s a tenth for Nighthawks to decide: to our left right under Claude’s apron the shade of gray of that thingy looks darker to me.
I don’t know what “thingy” you refer to, but looking over the area, I don’t see a difference in shade anywhere.
That doesn’t mean it’s not there, but it must be very slight.
As StelBel has said over and over, a tiny, almost imperceptible difference in shade would never be done on purpose.
A few color changes have been rather slight, but not so much that only some people can see them, and most of those weak contrasts were later made stronger for reruns.
…
Another thing is that puzzles are made from 2 copies of one picture.
Changes are added, here and there, to make them different, but the whole picture is NOT re-drawn.
Nobody would be able to make two identical-enough drawings.
So the only way other parts of the picture can change, outside those purposeful changes, is usually either accidental erasure, or some sort of computer copying error or artifact.
Nobody copied it imperfectly by hand.
None of that means, either, that you can’t personally count anything you like, since nobody’s keeping score.
I counted 7 but that included Tigressy’s “tenth” one. Two of the ones I missed looked “suspicious” but at the time I couldn’t put my finger on the difference at the time. There was one I didn’t notice at all.
The song selections were all very short so I didn’t have much searching time (I know, my own fault, no one else says that’s the time limit).

Like brother, like sister?

They’re in training for that important event at the 2025 Canine Olympics.
Trials start in March.

More Scottish I think…
They just don’t make them like they used to.
Pretty sure I played a Tomb Raider game in that place…
I was thinking Clive Barker’s Undying. Includes the snow.

Could that be
Sorry no….
And you’ll be surprised when you read my post.
I know I was.
Okay, not surprised by my own post…
But by the results of my search.
It’s… Guess what….
Do I really need a spoiler box for that?
I had to Google it to find out….
About a man, already nervous about flying, who sees this monster outside the window of the plane, wreaking havoc.
But no one else can see it… so nobody believes him.
and it stars (though I didn’t recognize him in this picture)
Didn’t recognise him from the picture, but knew who it was from the title as I’ve seen a few other stills from that episode that show his face better.
Recognized him at once.
I knew the monster looked familiar, but couldn’t place it. If I had I would have known all of the above!

Fins! Great Fins! Classy Tailfins! Makes me think of a book report that I did on a book by Thorstein Veblen about “conspicuous consumption”.
Does seem like an extravagance just to carry golf clubs…

,
I can’t imagine that kitty is very happy about her present situation.
Depends on who or what she’s chasing!

Lucky kitty… still no snow here.

Amazing coincidences, don’t you think?
AND a robot maid and a dog.
But wasn’t the dog a later addition. (That’s the only episode I sorta remember…)

I’m in
?
Ten
5+3+3 = 11
5+(2×3)+1 = 12
(2×5)+3-(3×1) = 10
Seven
3+4+4 = 11
3+(2×4)+1 = 12
(2×3)+4-(3×1) = 7
There appears to be more than one solution.
I’m with MCTS.
There are no “sides” to choose in arithmetic😁
Not enough information to answer. (Strawberry) could be 1, 3, 5, 7 or 9.
Exactly
Yeah, I was entirely too hasty in my sleepy state last night.

I’ve got five thus far.
AFAIK it’s nine like all of Nighthawks’ puzzles except for a few where a tenth somehow showed up unexpectedly. 😁
StelBel’s often have ten, but rarely Cleo puzzles.
…
I did find nine (I’m about to post them) but I have to say it took a bit more looking than usual.
I sent my solution to Nighthawks just in case… he never replied but that means he never said anything was wrong, right?
I never replied because that is the rude, boorish behavior that identifies me
I want to go on record as saying I thought nothing of the kind!
I don’t expect instant answers to email.

Beautiful brick and masonry work on the building.
interesting observation
Is that a poop bag hanging from the hand of the guy on the right? That dog looks like he could be a prolific outputter.
I hope not THAT prolific!
wouldn’t be at all surprised—the bigger the mammal, the bigger the poop
Urban bear.
March 1943. “Santa Fe Railroad conductor’s work table in the caboose enroute to Gallup, New Mexico.”
Needs more pin-ups.
This is from March 23, 1943. Maybe he’s thinking quality, not quantity. Then again, lots of classy pinups is never a bad thing. The legs almost look like something from Vargas pinups.
He must like that pin-up.
It’s actually a cut-out… Her left arm has been torn and taped, and narrowly misses an eyebolt.
It’s kind of a nice little workspace, though.
What is the flammable looking stuff tucked behind the oil lamp?
Looks like coir or oakum or some such.
Cough cough… Way to go, Claude.
Filled up my kitchen and my brain with smoke, making it even harder to find the NINE DIFFERENCES.
Unless, of course, Nighthawks says the number is different, but if so, he hasn’t told me, and NINE is what I found.
With a bit of difficulty, I admit. But I did find them… so you can too!
Don’t give up! When you’ve found nine, or at least given it your best shot, my solution is waiting….
I got seven, but for a long time I was stuck on five.
There’s a tenth for Nighthawks to decide: to our left right under Claude’s apron the shade of gray of that thingy looks darker to me.
Agreed
As you note, this is for Nighthawks to decide.
However… Just a reminder …
Differences are drawn on purpose.
I don’t know what “thingy” you refer to, but looking over the area, I don’t see a difference in shade anywhere.

All I’m getting from your “comment image” link is a server-not-found message.
The pictures are hosted on PostImage.org.
It’s not perfect, but it’s the best free image hosting I can find.
I can’t promise that they never have a moment of downtime, but it usually clears up quickly.
Refreshing or waiting a few minutes usually works, but sometimes you need to clear your caches.
…
If.others weren’t seeing it, I’d know i have to re-upload and repost because something went wrong or I saved to the wrong format, or something…
But in this case, please try again!

The song selections were all very short so I didn’t have much searching time (I know, my own fault, no one else says that’s the time limit).
Well, I’d say it took me quite a bit longer than a couple of songs, if I were listening to songs… which I wasn’t cos I think better in quiet.
In fact I only found six when I was very sleepy, and the other three when I woke up.
I rarely break up my solving like that… But then, I don’t usually try when I’m so tired.
All in all, I’d still say this one was harder than most.
I only got five this time.
It was a hard one.
Ice that formed after firefighters put out the fire at the Equitable Life Insurance Company, NYC, 1912.
I know I’ve gotta be… okay… a little nuts..
But does anybody else see a huge cartoon face or head in the biggest, and I guess most right-hand, blob of ice?
Nobody?
.. um…. well… neither do i… i guess…..
I’m not good at this…
Some kind of doggie or something?
Maybe “Cat in the hat?”
Try this one for yesterday’s “Twilight Zone” (I’m still trying to figure out what went wrong).
