Cover illustration for: Esterhazy: The Rabbit Prince by Irene Dische and Hans Magnus Enzensberger
Michael Sowa (Illustrator)
The following quote:
“Image Connection reissues Creative Edition’s translation of the 1993 German fantasy Esterhazy: The Rabbit Prince by Irene Dische and Hans Magnus Enzensberger, illus. by Michael Sowa. The story concerns a royal dynasty of very small rabbits and hinges on the fall of the Berlin Wall; the illustrations are dense, surreal and startling.”
The U.R.L. connects to a collage of the same building and cars with a myriad different “posters” on it.
As I said, I have no idea of what the “artistry” is supposed to be.
Curious.
Looks to be some sort of photo-shopped advertisements, seeing that only the snap-shot changes — even the car parked is the same in each illustration. Clicking on some of the illustrations takes you to various home pages on Facebook etc.

It took me an embarrassing length of time to realize that that is a BUNNY!
Don’t be embarrassed. I thought it was a duck!
I did too, for a second.
The ears looked kinda like a duck’s head and bill, with the rabbit’s face for a chest.
Then my eyes focused on the coat and legs.
Oops.
No matter how I look at it, I can’t get a duck from it. You are more imaginative than I am.

I’m leaving this as a “raw” U.R.L. because I have no idea what’s going on here.
