Sometimes I have trouble manipulating far fewer parts of my limbs with arguably a better-equipped brain. Then again, if the ladies start discarding their hard outer shells around me, I find that I’m interested (in my mind, at least), despite my best training.

I’ve met far more fearsome canines than that who went crazy with delight for a little pat.

I posted that because I thought today was Chocolate day…….but that’s tomorrow…….no matter, don’t need a special day to appreciate a piece

some sort of organic life form to compliment the sleek, mechanical locomotive
There is so much the same (look at the shadows and where the power line is), that I’d be willing to bet a Loonie or two that this is the photograph the advertisement was drawn from.
the angle seems close but the illustrator exaggerated the perspective to make the poster more dramatic. He also used a much nicer shade of green than the photo. It’s a sleek looking thing. It has an Art Deco type of feel to it.

the U.S…….In all those years since and all the stores I’ve been in, I’ve never actually seen a display of Burma Shave for sale…I suspect they spent more money on
advertising than distribution.
As a kid, when I saw the Burma-Shave signs (and the “Come to Harold’s Club, Reno” signs) I knew we were really off on another adventure. “I don’t think we’re in Canada any more, Toto…”

didn’t know she was patched up after Pearl Harbor and shelled Normandy beach and as you said, was at Iwo and Okinawa. As it turned out, only the U.S. Navy could sink her, deliberately.
BTW, that is EXTREMELY impressive that your dad saw the flag on Iwo Jima. WOW!

“It was a dark and stormy night.”
Good detail!
That house is winking at me!
Okay, that was “The End” of Part II. Could there be a part III? The suspense is killing me.

Time Warp?

waiting for me to post it)
Cool!
Unless they have made a new one in the last couple of years, i have seen all the 30 second bunnies.
Was that only two parts?
Who told me that is was playing all week?!

I’m missing why…

What a good dog! Already knows how to scratch to be let out.
Just doesn’t know his own strength.
He should learn in just a few days… it might only take a castle or two, till he gets it.
Meanwhile, Cleo pals…
Saturday night through Sunday we had a HUGE rainstorm… most rainfall in 24 hours on record for the area… no problem.
But last night when it was all OVER, then I had an internet outage.. . go figure.
And tonight I’ve been trying to set up some things I skipped when getting my new computer ready…
so I’ve been a bit preoccupied… but here I am!
One thing about embedding videos instead of posting links…
We don’t get titles, dates, or descriptions, and often can’t see the names of the artists.
I often go to the YouTube link anyway, just for those things… or if I want a larger view.
…
For instance, I knew that wasn’t Brigitte Bardot’s wispy voice powering through Mambo Italiano, but it sounded familiar…
It should… it’s Bette Midler.
The person who put together that video used clips of Bardot dancing in several movies to accompany Bette Midler’s singing.
And the “Spooky” video is, of course, the Classics IV.

Yum, yum, YUM!

You can be wrong like this any day. As long as it’s extra chocolate……….

Except I get nervous…
Stay, doggie!

I think “Burma Shave” was on the pilot episode of “Quantum Leap”, too…
I liked them all, but I liked the last one the best.

Any excuse to share my Kiki.
This is your creation, so do what you want to do. I wouldn’t have known the difference.
What is Salem Saberhagen? The only “Saberhagen” I know of is the ex-MLB pitcher Bret Saberhagen. He was one of the best of his day, but still.
Sabrina Spellman’s familiar, a cat-turned wizard/warlock.
Here he is
This is so funny! I’ve watched it twice so far. Doctor Frankenbasset does good work!
He walks, he talks and is house-broken. Good husband material.
