This is as close to a repeat of my first birthday-greeting posting on the now missing page 1 as I can remember (with the attachment being completely new).

…..but don’t get so hoppy that when approaching….
…from any direction that you forget to turn left.
If my mind is working (the “working” is always dubious) I think it was you who said you were cooking some of your meals by air frying these days.
The attachment is from today’s “London Daily Mail.”
While it isn’t a meal, as a side it sounds good.
175 grams of flour is basically 1 1/2 cups ( if it looks to be too much / or too little / for your taste cut or add as you see fit).
I have had corn fritters.
And blackeye pea fritters.
And apple fritters.
And strawberry fritters.
I have a local bakery that does marionberry fritters. Gotta try those.
How dare they!?! Every word I type is a pearl of wisdom, worthy of preservation until the end of time. I demand recompense!
And that’s just me. How about you, and Stel Bel, and Susan, and Dennis and Happy(3) and ML, & MCTS & Tigressy & JP & Dorothea and …
I made a comment when I was briefly awake about 6am, and when I refreshed the page, everything was gone!
For a moment I thought I did it, somehow. Eeek!
I called StelBel, 6am here being 9am there…She was as surprised and baffled as everybody else, and heading into a busy day.
My hope was that Nighthawks had tried to fix the double page, and inadvertently put page one offline.
I remember a page disappearing once before, and he was able to recover it, so I hoped he could work some more magic.
I don’t know whether he couldn’t, or Stel didn’t reach him.
Meanwhile I had posted about 4 buffets, among other things, and they’re all on the other side!
Sorry if everybody’s hungry!
I’ll go set up one or two, and bake another duplicate of the cake… Good thing my oven is so speedy.😁
I don’t know what will happen if we get to page three.
We’ll still have the extra header confusing the system, so would page two (this one ) disappear?
We probably won’t post that much anyway… but it won’t hurt to nest some comments as replies, even to ourselves, since nested comments don’t seem to “turn” the page.
I count only 33 comments in total on the page, but the counter is registering 78.
So maybe page one still exists somewhere within the bowels of WordPress; and the glitch is making ii inaccessible to nighthawks and StelBel.

Yes, that’s what I was saying above….
If you look at the lower left corner, you’ll see that we’re on page two.
That happens every time top level comments reach a certain number, which I believe is 20.
Nested comments don’t seem to count.

Page one has gone offline, for some reason, presumably having to do with the double blog post (what I call the header, everything above the comments.)
I’m thinking it probably happened when page two was started.
I don’t know why, because we have plenty of days with two pages…. and some other blogs have multiple pages every day…
Unless the double page somehow triggered it.

As I said, above, Nighthawks was at least once able to bring back a page that accidentally was taken offline.
