It is not widely known, but Linda wrote that song about me.
The “crease line” in the left (original) panel is definitely shorter than the one in the right panel.
This is illustrated by the gap that appears between the top of the crease line immediately to its left.
I’ve shown that difference below. As I said in my original comment I think it’s a valid difference ( and not just a part of the lab coat shortening ).
There’s ONE tiny extenson on ONE line, the middle one. The other lines you enclose are the same, or if there’s a nearly invisible difference, it’s microscopic.
It apparently happened when Nighthawks shortened the lab coat… but it’s part of the whole section that he moved — either downwards in panel one or upwards in panel two, which I marked as a difference.
I didn’t notice when I drew my “square circle”, or I would have drawn it a little larger to encompass the tip of that one line, too.
Then again, these puzzles are nothing “official.” There’s nothing cut in stone.
Nighthawks does his best to entertain you with them.
I do my best to solve them…
You’re usually getting my solution, ergo, my opinion.
….
Every now and then I have an issue or can’t find one difference, and I consult with StelBel or Nighthawks.
If you want to say there’s another difference to your eye
…
All I can say is
OK, that little error constitutes another difference to your eye.
…
AFAIK, it’s a teeny glitch, and Nighthawks didn’t intend it to be so. There is no “true” or “not true” .. we merely count them differently this time.
No one is keeping score or keeping a list of “winners” .. it’s for fun.
I’m not generally the praying type, but for you I’ll make one, knock on wood, cross my fingers, toes, eyes, and anything else. Maybe I’ll even sacrifice a cow on the grill or some other equivalent offering. {^¿^}
BTW, my kid has had very good success rehabbing lung transplants, and I know of some from other hospitals as well that have outlasted all expectations. It ain’t gonna be easy, but follow your PT’s orders no matter how hard it seems — they live to see you skip out of there.
That is really good news ! !
You have asked for prayers.
You have mine.
We’ll see you when you get back.
For those of us waiting on Old Phart’s successful outcome and return, here is a LINK to the Alberta Health website and its general instructions to lung transplant recipients after they return home.
I guess you won’t see this, because you’ve already left… but maybe somehow you’ll feel the prayers, the hopes, and the healing thoughts we’re sending your way.
All good wishes to you… awaiting your return, so glad you got this wonderful chance for renewal, having watched you fight so hard for it!
In case Rotty doesn’t show up for this one (I’ll fake it, because I’m too lazy to go back to find one of his to copy):
1a The left-most bottle on the shelf is Crown Royal.
1b The left-most bottle on the shelf is a Crown Royal bottle with water and cheap maple syrup for color to imitate booze.
2a The two globes are to illuminate the scene while flashing on and off for an eerie effect.
2b The two globes are left over from the three globes from a failed pawnbroker’s shop that sold them the rest of the special effects.
3a The big pull-down lever on the machine is to activate the remarkable advances made in medical science.
The big pull-down lever on the machine is to activate lots of blinking lights and special effects that enliven the story.
4a The stairs in the background lead to a room where the monster receives his enlightenment.
4b The stairs in the background lead to the special effects room where some maniac is pulling all kinds of levers to create sparks, lightning bolts and flashing lights.
5a The window on the left is illuminated by lightning bolts as the equipment is prepared.
5b The window on the left is where the camera guy filming the scene loses his donut to a sword thrust.
6a. The lever on the master power switch is pulled to bring the monster to life.
6b The lever on the master power switch swaps out Old Phart Plods lungs for a new set.
7a The lever under the table is for your Teeter Hangups table.
7b The lever under the table pops Old Phart Plods up and ready to skip out the door.
8a, 8b, 9a, 9b Very technical and depend on your well-wishes for Old Phart Plods.
Update: No scheduled time for the surgery yet. They are waiting on the donor team. Could be as early as 6pm CDT or as late as tomorrow morning.
On the plus side, I get breakfast!
All my thoughts and prayers are directed at you! This has been a long time coming but the wait will surely have been worth it! Positive vibes are being sent to you from Massachusetts!!
Where do you guys find these things?
I like ’em.
,
When one niece was 2, she loved the trees that grew along their street.
One autumn day, walking with her mother, she noticed the leaves falling, and started to cry.
She ran to pick up a bright red maple leaf… held it out to my sister, and demanded “Put back, Mommy!”
Told that Mommy couldn’t do that, she loudly wailed …”Twees bwoken!”
She was inconsolable, thinking her beautiful trees were ruined forever.
Only in my dreams do the leaves melt away like that. Right now the wind is howling and sharing our leafy bounty with the neighborhood. 🙂
the wind started howling around 3 a.m. around here. it finally quit around 6.
.,
“Wash your ears”…. LOL…
The histories we rarely read about; although they are not lost. LINK TO AN ESSAY ABOUT THE “MICKEY MOUSE MAGAZINE” WHERE THIS WAS FIRST PUBLISHED (IN FEBRUARY1936)
In my comic book of “The Goofy Success Story” (ca. 1960) it was revealed that his real name was Dippy Dog…
.
Where did you find this.
Looks like something you would find on devientArt.
It’s the beginning of a grand adventure, you can just see it!

Got em!
It is not widely known, but Linda wrote that song about me.
I thought it sounded like it was about somebody familiar.
😀
I found all nine!
Is this a repeat?
I only found 8 ~ I will have to try for the 9th in the morning.
I’m stuck at 3. I’ll try tomorrow for more.
Morning ~ still only 8 😥
I got UP to eight Then stopped. 😀
The one I missed was fairly obvious and I looked at it several times. My mind just didn’t register the difference.
I got all nine (and I started a day late!) Yes, this is a repeat or I’d still be struggling…
shhh…..
Three so far. I’ll try for more tomorrow after am shifts.
Sometimes I don’t show up with the puzzle solution until 11pm, West Coast time… 2am Eastern…
and the crickets are chirping, the tumbleweeds blowing through the forum.
…
Tonight I thought I’d be pretty early… not SUPER early, but, you know, ahead of the crowd.
Nope.
Anyway… here it comes…
Look when you’re ready.
I’m sure you’ve all done very very well, as Young Mr. Grace used to say, if anybody knows THAT reference.
(Happy³, you’re probably just still catching up with yourself.)
…
DON’T peek before you’ve tried, of course.
Then go ahead and
I counted one that wasn’t official although it is a big difference, and missed the official one because I stopped looking.
Is that supposed to be a joke?
Didn’t you notice that one clearly enough on Susan’s solution?
Look again, there’s two differences there.
Susan marked one (which I also found); I marked the other in my spoiler box.

Well.. I don’t call it a separate difference…

Hopefully next week we’ll agree.
i found all 9! whoopee! hurray! woohoo!!!
got em
Argh! Missed it by that much… 😀
I won’t be on for a while and this is quick.
I won’t see any answers for a while.
They found a lung and I’m leaving in a hour or so. Keep me in your prayers.
Love you guy

“Always do what the nurses say!
They know stuff!”
Oh wow!! The news doesn’t get much more exciting than that. Best of luck, we’re all pulling for you, pip pip, tally-ho, and all that jazz.
That is really good news ! !

Go, Plods!
That was fairly quick!
All the best!
at the hospital and waiting
thanks all
Plods!
all the best from your family at C&C
Am heaping my thoughts and prayers for a successful surgery and full recovery on, too.
dear, dear, friend! you are in our prayers!!! good luck to you and your whole family! keep your positive thoughts flowing! xoxo
♥
Cool! Absolutely the best of luck!
So happy to hear this. Wishing you all the best and praying for a great outcome. Hugs!!
Praying for a successful surgery and a quick, complete recovery.
I wish you the best possible outcome. I don’t pray for things, but in your case I’ll make an exception!
Ooh, B & W! Contrast it with some of your vividly (not to say luridly) colored ones like Alice in Bassetland. Will it be easier? Or harder?
Well, you know, a black and white movie yields only black and white clips…
You know how awful those colorized versions can be.

My all-time favorite sweet, gooey food. Dang, those look good!
Whew, just in time. The music ended as I found the last difference.

Stuck at eight this morning.
I should be happy with that. 🙂
Tennessee Volunteers 52, Crimson Tide 49.
Despite being a Tide fan, Tennessee earned that win.
