At first quick glance, I thought this was a poor, deformed basset with a GIANT right eye!
My eyes weren’t quite focused and I over-scrolled, so this is what I initially saw:
A “King” class steam locomotive approaching the village of Purley near Reading, Berkshire, in England. This is part of the line between London and Bristol.
Richard Picton Richard was born in 1963 in the small mining town of Aberdare, set in the heart of the South Wales coalfield, surrounded by mountainous scenery and the remnants of a once powerful industrial region. This environment has given him ideas and inspiration for many of his paintings. He moved to Berkshire in the late 1970’s and lives in West Reading. Richard returns to Wales every so often, looking for subjects for future paintings there, and also in the Thames Valley and South Oxfordshire area. He is entirely self taught.
One of these 100+ days in June, I could envision cracking a bag of ice for my dogs. My kids were gone by this summer, but I will store this away for next time.
If I saw the “Take a Chance On Me” video a million times……I would still want to see it again and again. I love it as much now as the first time I saw it 6 or 7 years ago!!
Thanks, ML ! Extra information in the box (more pictures at two of the sources).

I like the ladies’ hats and coats, and the gentlemens’ white shirts, ties and suit coats. However, one little air pocket and you’ll be at the cleaner’s for days.
Those look like pills or capsules of some kind sprinkled all over those c-cakes. Are you supposed to break ’em open and snort the contents? Or just swallow em whole?
I have corrected the typographical error (I called it a misprint; gotta make it look like someone else may have done it), thanks for pointing it out.
I also found this which…
Molloni
…is the closest I found to a Compact Fluorescent Light shaped pasta which does not appear in the list at the link you referenced yesterday (if I had found trottole {a rose by any other name…?}, it would be here too).
[I’m editing this at 09:52 hrs. E.D.T..
I didn’t see your comments referencing yesterday until a short time ago, that’s why it’s not a “reply”]
I didn’t delete my puzzle comment because you had already acknowledged it anyway, and I didn’t want to confuse people.
If you want me to do it, regardless, I will.
…
Hmmm … and yes, that pasta does look similar to what I’d had, but a bit softer and looser… not quite as “geometrical”(?) as either a CFL or trotolle. Somehow it reminds me more of a babydoll hand!
The latter does indeed appear in that Wikipedia list… it’s in the section called (IIRC) “short cut pasta.” I don’t recall seeing molloni, though… I’ll have to check again. No list is comprehensive, I guess.
There’s no photo of trottole there, but it’s described as looking like a spinning top, which is why I googled it for images, and decided it was the one.
I posted this in my reply to Dennis:
…..
Happy³… If you see this… yes, it does hold sauce well, which is one reason I like it.
I think the champion sauce holder is radiatore…
Both are hard to find, so I usually buy readily available fusilli in preference to other pasta.
People who think the shapes don’t matter probably haven’t eaten tuna casserole or pesto with radiatore.

Good morning Balladeers, (((((Plods))))) and Miss Susan.
After I sent it to her, I told her to post it in her frog bog or I would drag out the old “teresa is my bride’ thing.
amazing what a little extortion can accomplish
..
LOL

THAT can’t be right!!
At first I thought it was a Picasso basset portrait.
Yup. Me and ol’ Blue go way back.
…
Who is the artist?
“Purley King”… By Richard Picton
From the web:
A “King” class steam locomotive approaching the village of Purley near Reading, Berkshire, in England. This is part of the line between London and Bristol.
….
It’s apparently contemporary.
BTW Dennis I answered you about CFL pasta on yesterday’s page.
With a picture, yet.
Got it. They do look like CFLs.
It being a post from Nighthawks, I gave it a few seconds to start billowing smoke.
…
But no….
This…
Richard Picton

Nubby, the amazing 2-legged boxer!
…
What a charmer, that Nubby!!~
Great video. Heart warming!
Check out the video at the end of Nubby’s story. It’s the last flying Connie. A legend!

SOURCE (hey, it’s done by people in government and you want pictures?)
I wonder what the seat space was inside that beauty. You could probably stretch out your legs and enjoy your gourmet dinner.
More than probably (KLM publicity photograph of the interior of a constellation)…
I like the ladies’ hats and coats, and the gentlemens’ white shirts, ties and suit coats. However, one little air pocket and you’ll be at the cleaner’s for days.
I don’t remember much of it, but i rode in one from L.A. to Hawaii to Midway to Okinawa when pop got out of flight school.
Claude, that is an easy giggle for you, but dumb.
Of the extras, no doubt that “Take a chance on me” was the best.
Sometimes I wonder whether Claude is stoned.
We did see him checking out the pot store.
Clara probably just wonders whether he has rocks in his head.
….
In any case, people who make bad jokes shouldn’t mention stones, lest they give anybody ideas.
I know I try to keep them out of my conversation.
I came very late to yesterday’s page… but I did comment to a few people…
and Alexi, you might want to check my reply to your number puzzle solution.
