  The following is a text message  to me from Stelbel’s sister

It’s too early to know how she will recover from the stroke. It’s unknown if Candi recognizes her niece since regaining consciousness. I’ve been told she responds with a lot of ‘yes’ , but it may not necessarily be the right answer. she’s very weak on the right side but has movement in her right leg.Her receptive and communication ability are severely affected. My initial impression is that she will need skilled nursing care neither you or I could provide.Let’s see how she progresses now that she’ll be getting OT PT and speech therapy. The brain may surprise us! I will keep you posted
