His name is Sergeant Bulldog. He is an English Bulldog, but he’s Australian by nationality. Videos are findable.

Whoa… Might feel silly walking in there just to pay your water bill or get a dog license.
Do you have to wear a suit and tie, or your pearls and an ostrich boa?

And Santa Rosa supposedly has more than half again the population of Burbank. But not the per capita income.
so Laugh-In’s many references to ‘beautiful downtown Burbank’ were not as tongue-in-cheek as was implied

Apparently from 1942. (my source says the catalogues are being assembled) I have no real evidence, but my general history knowledge says America entered WW II in late 1941; that may help explain the complete absence of men in this photograph.
Men wouldn’t have done work like that back then anyway.

Here are 4 (FOUR!) basset heroes …. well, they were heroes… not so sure after this… OK, four basset comic stars, all standing together in one spot.

Even StelBel only gets $0,000,000.00, and Cleo gets paid in kibble.

well, you’re invited to the annual C&C Christmas party— if you and Stel can make it to Cleveland
Yeah, and we’ll probably be told we have to bring all the food, and go thirdsies on the wine.
And does that mean one of us is no longer invited if the other can’t make it?

what a gathering of superheroes! too bad they didn’t save the man and then argue about who’s the greatest.
He was told not to go anywhere. They would have rescued him eventually……….I think!
He probably tore the branch off himself thinking it’s better to fall and make it quick than starve to death while they argue it out.
