I thought for a moment that she was standing on a giant gas stovetop.
On my tablet screen, right near her feet, there was a fuzzy reflection of the light bulb from the lamp next to me, making me think one of those huge gas burners was turned on!
I kind of gasped… and then I laughed.
….
P.S… I just tried to use my phone camera to take a picture of my laptop screen, showing the reflection, cos it’s kind of funny.
If I had just one more hand, I could do it.
Too bad I can’t call anybody to give me a hand.

I don’t always post these when I find them, and this one is (at 7:36 A.M. E.S.T. today’s date on page 4 / to get to page 4 click on the “Latest” link next to the top logo and go from there).
True story. The last time my mom got her military id they took her photo against a wall that was the same white as her hair. In the photo all you could see was her face.
My DL photo looks like Whitey Bulger’s mug shot.
In case you don’t know, he was the South Boston mob boss/informer who was on the run for decades before he was found in California.
The California DMV let me keep the same picture till my 65th birthday! 25 years!
I hated it when I was 40…. by my late 50s it started looking pretty damn good. I still look back at it kind of fondly. 😀
Last year, or maybe it was 2023, for no obvious reason… not a significant birthday… they said I had to get yet another new one and take the written test. I think my 3rd picture and 1st written test since the original ones.
In my current picture, with the bright flash they use at the new office, my face looks like a slightly washed out photo of a ripe red tomato. I don’t think I could ever live long enough to look back fondly at this one.

Looks like it’s a good day in bassetland.
Happy times!
“Here’s Johnny!!!”
“Did somebody say kibbles?”
..
…
Took me longer than it should have, but the explanation makes sense.
Fairly easily.
Piece of cake!
Reading – anything – consists of pattern recognition. As true of music or other sorts of notation as of language.
Yes.
Hrad to bilveie 45 out of 100 cna’t.
(Tyrnig to tpye tihs is gnivig my atoucreorct a haret acttak. I have to keep un-crorcetnig it.)
that’s a good way to blow a fuse on your spell-checker
I had to replace the gaskets this morning.
and I guess you neglected the bushings….
Fairly easily
The faster I read, the easier it gets.
Yep, at my usual speed too. But then I can read upside sown and backwards as easily as forward.
You wouldn’t be a printer, by any chance?
I’m pretty sure she’s human.
Printer is still a human profession, too.
And the skills mentioned apply there.

I’m Trick or Treating as Charlie Chicken hawk this Halloween!

There’s something I want to say so badly but I just can’t. LOL

No way. Two for one!
One false move and two heads stop being better than one…
I can think of at least two things wrong with this picture.
Amazing the things people think they can easily do that they can’t necessarily do at all.
And when it turns out that they couldn’t, after all, they’re ever so surprised. If they’re still alive.

And who has the right
As master of the house
To have the final word
At home?
But he’s not on the roof.
Nor, I’m thinking, does he have a home.

Dogs are some of the most important people in our lives.
Mine are.
Mine was. And my cats agreed!!!!! We all miss him.

Who knew they were so flat on top.
Well, if you’ve watched a thunderhead form over the Kansas plain . . .
They’re flat too?
From the ground they look like big round piles.
Well, the ones I’ve seen in other flat states, like Illinois and Ohio, do anyway.
I’ve never been above one, that I can remember.
boom!
,..,
Yes there is.
Doesn’t even look very hungry.
Probably quite happily stuffed with Halloween candy.
Got it!
Watch out for the big bad wolf!
Easy one.

They’d better hope the sprinkler system doesn’t go off.
Synchronized witching!
This is cute (the music choice is lively but ill-chosen),
Can we open these any larger?
I’m not sure if it’s WordPress or Itemfix but I’ve tried different ways of enlarging these unsuccessfully.
Here is the U.R.L. for Itemfix.

It seemed like a good idea….
Give the man some credit. He knew when it was time to bail and he did not hesitate.
I got to page 23 and couldn’t find this one’s page.
Well wordth watching.
Thanks! !
That series is full of fun stuff.
Black Crowned Night Heron.
Vlad, for those who don’t know, is also a character from Frog Applause. I hear he’s actually… a… a … nice fellow.
He hardly ever kills anybody.
Right, Vlad, my old pal? Did I tell you you’re looking good… um… friend?
BUNNIES!
Love ’em.
